Order advice:
↬If you need to make changes to the subscription details after the auth/order creation date, double check the changes applied to both the pending order and the subscription.
↬ If you have a licensed subscription you can choose to have it shipped as soon as possible, or with your monthly subscription shipment. This setting is available on a per subscription basis on your My Subscription page.
↬If you have questions about your individual order or subscriptions, please start a new thread.

If I subscribe to the Lost Omens line after the authorization date (say on the 5th), will my order carry to next authorization date?
For example, if I were to subscribe on the 5th to the Lost Omens, starting with the Pathfinder Society Guide, and Rulebook line, would my ship with the Bestiary 3?
Humbly,
Yawar

Hello YawarFiesta,
If you subscribe to the Lost Omens or any other line after our order creation process it will behave as though placing a normal order for an available release - meaning it will either create an order to ship immediately, or it can go to the sidecart. You'll want to start the subscription, but make sure that the Ancestry Guide is put into your sidecart from checkout. Sidecarts are only generated during the order creation process. Since the next one that will be run after the one that is currently running will be the March one with the Bestiary 3 release, you'll just want to make sure that anything you order -- subscription or otherwise -- that you want to ship with Bestiary 3 must go into your sidecart.
Do make sure you wait until at least until the day after the current order generation. In some cases it takes more than a day to finish, so I'd say to play it safe aim for ordering on the 6th or after to make sure that the process has already hit your account so it won't after your orders are placed and generate your items too soon.

I was right at the start of January's shipping window. Not a good sign.
Generally speaking, the more useful a book will be for any of my tables, the later in the window I get stuff. I bet I'm not alone in that.
Nope. You are not. Since way back when Ultimate Magic came out it has happened to me... Every. Single. Time.
I am very, very, rarely at the front of the queue and, when I am, it is never for a hardback book. And I am subscribed to everything Starfinder and all the books and Accessories for Pathfinder.
But, then again, I think all my luck got used up since I was able to be a part of the closed playtest for Starfinder before it came out.

Order authorized! :)
And i can relate in the timing of things, but i think it's just confirmation bias for me. As in generally i don't have a need for a book right away so i don't notice it as much as when i do 'need' the book! I sure didn't do myself any favors this month though since I'm starting Abomination Vaults on feb 27 and listed any uncommon ancestry/ heritage from the Ancestry Guide as fair game.

I used to be a member of the "guinea pig cohort" (years ago, before they had a standalone computer system to do dummy runs on).
So for a long time I was nearly always front of the queue. I can hardly complain now if I tend to drift to the back (especially because half the time I've combined my subscriptions with some weirdo combination of preorder/non-mint/reprinted products...)

Fully aware it's somewhere between confirmation bias and just taking a bit longer because there might be more than one line shipping at a time.
Hm, discount not applying for some reason. I'm sure that will clean up. :)
Same here with the discount. Not applied to the order. I hope they clear that up before shipping.

I've seen it happen a few times, and it always has sorted out before shipment. I'm not worried!
This is a great run of months. In addition to the AP volumes, we've got the Ancestry Guide this month, Bestiary 3 next month, Malevolence the month after that... skip a month and we're into the Mwangi Expanse, then Secrets of Magic, another break and then the Grand Bazaar, then Guns & Gears... and somewhere late in the year possible the Lost Omens Absalom book and Kingmaker.
I wonder if this less grouped publishing schedule is easier for Paizo? While a month that dumps a book in every line is really exciting, the truth is I really dig this AP+1 that's lining up!

Umm... I just checked the product pages for The Grand Bazaar and Guns and Gears and those pages state August and September for those books, respectively. So, there is no break after Secrets of Magic in July; at least so far there isn't. I mean, that could change due to unforeseen circumstances, but so far those pages don't reflect that.

Weird. Depends on where you look.
The Grand Bazaar says it's expected approximately 15 September 2021. The first post on it even is Katina saying it's announced for September, but you're right the main spot says August.
Guns & Gears similarly says it's announced for 13 October, despite the main date saying September.
Guess we'll see as we get closer!

Seems to be intentional. I think they're trying to arrange stuff so that they release a hardcover most months, skipping January and 1-2 other months.
From what Aaron has said, that is his preference as well, since it makes things easier to promote, but it might also be easier on their printing partner and the design teams.

I know specific release dates can be great hype and everything, like GenCon for example. Hopefully this new setup works for them!

Hm. In theory, the authorization process should be completed by now, but I don't have an authorization yet. Did the process crash last night? That seems to happen a lot. <shrug>
Edit: never mind, I found it.

I have no shame about my new habit of checking my Paizo account twice a day.
Checking your Paizo account only twice a day while your monthly subscription shipment is pending actually demonstrates a supreme degree of self control that very few of us have.

Right? I've been checking mine once every ten minutes and I feel I've been restraining myself!

I don’t constantly refresh my email during the shipment phase.....I continually refresh the order page so I can see when it is charged and when it switches over to completed.

I think the "change your payment method" has suffered long-term glitchiness when it comes to cancelling a payment method and that you need direct CS assistance.
I'd start a new thread asking them to email you - it should be pretty rapid once they get to that (and a thread is more rapid than an email direct, which still takes a couple of months at this stage).

I actually managed to get rid of my old cc (that ran out 01/21) and switch over to a new debit card. It was no easy task though, and I don't remember which hoops I had to jump through.
Also, changing the shipping adress because your phone number has changed (somehow required for international shipping), that took some clicking, cursing, changing and confirming.
@Skeld: try setting up the new payment method, then changing the subscription payment method, then updating the 'current' one. When updating, I think you can remove the old cc. It wasn't really intuitive but as said, I managed to get it done.
[Edit] yeah, I just checked again, I only have the new debit card as payment method in the system. So it is possible to do this without CS assistance. It 'just' not really straight-forward. Which is something to bring to the website tech team's attention, CS probably can't change that.

Having had a bit of time and finding out that the debit card is charging a very large exchange fee for $ charges on my € account, I switched back to a creditcard for Paizo:
- in your account settings go to Payment Methods and add the new card as a new payment method.
- this new payment method is for new purchases, that aren't running subscriptions, as those still use the old payment method selected for them.
- in your account settings go to your subscriptions, there you can select your new payment method.
- now that your subscription is set to the new card, go back to your payment methods and click 'update' on your old card: this now lets you remove the old payment method.
I did these steps and confirmed that it is working with a purchase of a gift certificate where I was asked the 3 numbers on the back to verify the new card.
I was able to redeem the gift certificate for store credit.
Hope it helps!

Hey Franz. I was able to go in through my subscriptions and change to the new CC, then delete the old one in my payment methods. I verified the authorization against my new card. It looks like that worked!
That is some crazy hoops to jump through tho.
Thanks,
