Oracle + Godless Healing

Rules Discussion

The godless Healing feat as a pre-req has the text "can’t have a patron deity".

Oracle's draw their powers from many gods, but don't necessarily have a patron. So... Can they take Godless Healing?

I mean, RAW it seems so... But RAI... It's sort of in the name implying no lol.

Oracles *can* draw their power from Many Gods, but they don't necessarily draw their power from Any Gods.

From the opening paragraph:

Quote:

You understand the great mysteries of the universe embodied in

overarching concepts that transcend good and evil or chaos and law, whether because you perceive the common ground across multiple deities or circumvent their power entirely.

So if your oracle doesn't really have the time of day for a god or any gods, they can take the feat. If you want to have an Oracle who has a relationship with a god or many gods, then you can't.

I'd say as well as being an atheist (or misotheist or antitheist more likely given the setting), your Oracle should get their powers from a godless source or non-divinity (even if your spells are still technically divine). So yeah, circumvent.
Since Oracles don't need to know the source of their powers, this should be pretty easy. Heck, maybe while a rookie the Oracle simply thinks they're a variant of a Bard (being a charming & godless healer and such) w/ an esoteric Muse.
