Claw Blades and Energize Weapon

Rules Questions

So yes stuck on Kineticist and Energize Weapon. So new idea Catfolk. They can get claws a natural attack then they can purchase claw blades turning them into a light slashing weapon. Now the blades slip over the hands much like brass knuckles. Now energize weapon you take a burn to activate unless you gather power. But you need hands free to do this.
So I'm a catfolk with claw blades on do I need to remove my clawblades to activate Gather power or do I keep them on. So it would be Move action Gather Power then smack someone with my claw blade for damage plus 1d6 elemental damage?

Hand not hands. Moot question. One hand free regardless.

considering that Clawblades just like a gauntlet don't prevent you from wielding or holding other items in the hand they are equipped to... I doubt you'd have too much trouble counting your hand as free for the purpose of gathering power...

and if you only have one set of clawblades (one hand) then you need not worry about it anyways... unless your carrying a shield or something in your other hand...

Thank you. Wanted to be sure.

If she has both hands free (or all of her prehensile appendages free, for unusual kineticists), a kineticist can gather energy or elemental matter as a move action.

Hands, not hand.

But yes, since they don't occupy your hand, you can use gather power.

Okay new question. Estoric knight Prestige class has abilities that require burn to activate. Could you gather power to use them? Nothing on the website has anything to say about them.

Gathering power in this way allows the kineticist to reduce the total burn cost of a blast wild talent she uses in the same round by 1 point.

Considering they aren't blast wild talents, that would be a no.
