Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

So has anyone tried to describe the succubus/incubus besides what's already provided in books and such?

Instead of bat wings, maybe feathery wings or insect-like wings. Instead of a red, tendril tail, its more flesh-like or looks more suited to a big cat.

Maybe they don't have horns, or their horns are curving and large and ram-like, instead of feet, maybe they have hooves or taloned feet.

Lore-wise I can only point out to Nocticula, but she was a demon lord. Then there's Shamira the nascent lord who took over, who has wings of fire.

In Dave Gross's King of Chaos, when the succubus Yavaliska creates succubi from her own blood, they are described as having bat wings but in different colours and all of them human looking but with different ethnic appearances.

Since demons and the Abyss by nature are chaotic, has anyone homebrewed their own lust demons unique appearance?

Well, Incubi and Succubi can Polymorph at will, so they look however they want to look, and whatever form they choose, I guess it's a damn sexy one.

I guess it might be interesting for a GM to have a Succubus Polymorph into a horse and try to corrupt the Paladin's Mount, and the GM could hint to the players that that is the most beautiful horse they'd ever seen, and honestly they feel a little tempted themselves...

I heard a story about one of the battles in the Crusades where the stallions the the Christian Knights were riding ended up getting amorous with the mares the Muslim Knights were riding, and the battle ended up getting called off on account of this force of nature.

I love the conceit of hiding good and evil monsters in the party and see how long the game goes on before the party figures out that the party pack mule has actually all-along been a Polymorphed Gold Dragon.

Shadow Lodge

Succubi come in numerous appearances and varieties. The oldest depictions of them just look like normal women. In current fantasy art they vary from woman with bat wings to full on creepy monster thing.

In the oldest references I've found, the incubus/sucubus is not a tangible creature. It's a spiritual presence, like a ghost, that flies into your sleeping quarters and tempts you with visions while you sleep.

I think of succubus as a term of endearment a man has for his ex-wife, and in the real(?) world, I think of incubus as a racial slur for his (ex?)wife's imagined lovers.

Fortunately this is the internet and there's a few million pictures of succubi out there to help, uh, inspire you.

If any aliens were to get access to the web they'd be sure a succubus was a real thing.

Have you tried searching the internet for pictures of a Succubus? Preferably with the safe-sesrch turned off?

Should provide some, if not plenty, inspiration.

And if you ask her nicely (DC20 Intimidate), she might just change her tail to be a big cat tail for you, throw some hooves on, too, if that's your thing. Feathered wings. Wings of fire. Flaming feathered wings, you name it.

All you gotta do is beat her in a grapple...

If only someone had created a thread to... explore... the possibilities of this line of thought.

Alas.
