Kingmaker 10th Anniversary

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Does anyone know when the projected release date is going to be for this? I haven't been able to find out anything myself and I am looking forward to.

I have found these helpful:

- the Development Updates: Kingmaker Game on Top Crowdfunding

- and this PaizoCon 2020 update: Know Direction PaizoCon 2020 Kingmaker Podcast

Bottom Line: Projected at project start = December 2020. Per PaizoCon = somewhere around then or later

I’m excited too :-)

James Jacobs says the likely date is end of this year/early next year. It hasn't been pinned down and it will take as long as it takes to get the product right. This info is as of yesterday from a Kingmaker AMA on paizo twitch.

To be more precise, the EARLIEST date would be end of this year/early next year. The actual date it will release is irresponsible to announce at this time since the world is in such a state of flux.

The original projected date, as mentioned above, was December 2020. A lot has changed since mid last year, but what hasn't changed is our passion and focus to get the book done ASAP.

I suspect as we get closer to the end goal a few or more months out we'll have more news and perhaps even some more previews, but for now, and for the next few months, there's not much more to say other than that when I'm not in Creative Director meetings or answering questions here on the boards, I'm pretty much working on Kingmaker.

The biggest question I have, and hope it can be answered, will there still be a Iobaria gazetteer in the Anniversary edition? And if so, will it be the same as the original or will it be expanded on, even a little bit? I'm not looking for specifics or details. A yes or no reply will suffice. I love Iobaria and would love to see more done with it.

The Rise of the Runelords and Curse of the Crimson Throne compilations did not include the gazetteers, so I expect a low chance of the gazzeteers showing up.

Nope; the Iobaria gazetteer was an expansion beyond the scope of the main campaign, and it won't be reprinted in the re-release.

Glad to hear James that you are personally working on the Kingmaker re-release which I have 500$+ invested in!

I'd rather have a perfected product than a rushed release or something that was released to try and meet a streetdate.

I just want the 5e bestiary. That is all. Why is it taking well over a year to get this out of it is already 1134% crowd funded?

Because the extra money pays to print more copies of the books, not to make there be 30 hours in each of Mr. Jacobs' days.

I hope you realize that the "5E bestiary" is not just a simple independent side project for D&D but a book with conversions of the statblocks of creatures and NPCs that appear in the full Kingmaker adventure path book. Obviously in order for that to be produced, the main book must be finished first.

This looks awesome! Good luck on getting it out, I know COVID is screwing a lot of stuff up.

If you guys do one for Jade Regent next I'll definitely contribute; I'm trying to rewrite that one in my spare time so the NPCs are more tightly integrated with the story and party, and ditching the caravan combat entirely, and it's a pain in the neck, but I just freaking love samurai stuff. Jade Regent also honestly deserves a reboot/revamp because I love the concept of taking a CRPG to tabletop as directly as possible, with companion characters and everything, but the rules as written don't really live up to the potential.

(and in a few years if you try for Hell's Rebels anniversary edition, you already have my money because I'm DMing the original version of that and it's the best TTRPG experience in my life, so...yeah, offer me a hardcover of that and I'll be like, "shut up and take my money, and I want copies for all my friends too even if it breaks my bank account")

As the shipping date draws near, I was wondering if the Kingmaker Adventure Path Special Edition hardcover was written entirely for 2E or if 1E skill DCs were provided? I purchased the 1E Bestiary Add-On but I am uncertain if some amount of 2E to 1E conversion will be required when I run the adventure. Any information on this would be greatly appreciated; thank you.

I replied to your other post, but the short version is that the 640 page Adventure Path hardcover version of Kingmaker is 100% written for 2nd edition.
