Drow Noble Dervish Defender build

Advice and Rules Questions

Planning a Drow Noble (lot if features taken away) Dervish Defender , Warder. my idea is two use Thrashing Dragon and Eternal Guardian and focus on using a zone of Nope and getting in as many attacks as I can. I've ok it with the GM and I'll be taking (Double Hit) from 3.5 once I can Acquire it , so I can make two attacks when a foe triggers an aoO from me.

I plan to focus on Intimidation and locking my foes down.

What would be a good lay out of feats from my 1st to 6th level

So the spear/shield idea is dead then?

If your plan is TWF with light blades then weapon finesse, deadly agility and of course TWF are basically essential. TWF is free at L1 as a dervish defender, you have a bonus feat at L3, general feats at 1, 3, 5. For the remaining feats you could get weapon focus + dazzling display or you could get signature skill (intimidate) or guard's glare - all those use intimidate. Or you could start on thrashing dragon style.

1 Daisho Expertise

3 Thrashing Dragon Style
3 powerful mark
5 Guard glare

After that maybe something like

7 Imp TWF
9 Double Hit (3.5)

You don't have proficiency in katana used 1H or in a wakizashi at all, daisho expertise doesn't work for you when doing TWF. Also I strongly recommend deadly agility.

What weapon would you recommend ?

I want good damage and or high critical range

A gladius does 1d6, 19-20/x2, P or S. It's identical to a short sword for the purpose of weapon focus etc. oddly. Or there's the kukri 1d4, 18-20/x2, S if crits are the be-all and end-all for you.

I see.

Is there any way a build could be done with a Katana and Wakizashi with Thrashing Dragon ?

Any class?

A one level dip in samurai, take that daisho expertise feat and go dervish defender thereafter. The bushi class template isn't compatible with dervish defender but could be applied to a stalker or warlord.

Or just take EWP (wakizashi) to use 2 wakizashis.

Edit: to be clear that's 3 different ways - (dip samurai) or (go bushi warlord or bushi stalker) or (take EWP (wakizashi) on dervish defender warlord). Daisho expertise and deadly agility are useful for all of them.

Could you Advise me on feats for the Dervish defender ?

@ AVR

I was talking Talking to a fellow player who though I should switch race to tengu

Tengu using their swordtrained racial ability to get proficiency works too. -2 Con is acceptable on a d12 HD with counter maneuvers to save your feathered butt. If you do that then for a dervish defender this might work -

1: Daisho expertise
DD 1: TWF
3: Deadly agility
Warder 3: Thrashing dragon style
5: Powerful mark

Edit: assuming your next question is 'what maneuvers?', these might work.
Stances: inner dragon stance (defence), vigilant keeper's stance (BFC), battle dragon stance (offence)
Maneuvers
1: guard's oath, swift claws, leaping dragon, terrifying blow, any one other
2: sun dips low, strike of the royal guardian
3: vicious swipe
Your 5 readied maneuvers probably include the L2-3 maneuvers, guard's oath, one other which seems useful right now.
