I'm playing in the age of ashes AP. I was going to create a ranger that uses shurikens. I own the core rulebook for 2e but nothing else. Is there any source material free online about ninja/shuriken using characters? Where would my character come from?
Any information/links related to this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

The whole game is barely half a year old
no official ninja material
but your character would (if they ought to be a typical asian ninja) likely hail from Tian Xia
for class I would say go rogue and use multiclass archetype monk with monastic weaponry and then a few monk moves to enhance your mobility
alternatevely monk multiclassing into rogue would probably also work
the most 'classical' shuriken users you find in the inner sea are monks from different monastries all around the continents of avistan and garund

I think Monk makes more sense as a starting point, and offers ninja-style shenanigans sooner (if we're talking wall running, etc), but Rogue has all the skills for breaking and entering. Monks can be fine at sneaking, so kind of a wash there.
Rogue does eventually get the running on air ability, while Monk has to settle for spending focus points to fly.
Personally, I'd probably go pure monk myself. Just a shame shuriken don't get to substitute for weapons via Monastic Weaponry. But you can still mix in some melee weapons that fit the theme (e.g. Kama, and 1d6 agile trip is pretty good for a 1h).
