Ammount of damage for animal companion (constrictor snake and big cat) animal companion riles or bestiary rules?

Advice

Hi all.
My players squeeze me for the next moments and I need your help for understanding that moments...
1) We have animal companion snake constrictor of 4-th level, what damage he deal by his attack?
I think so...
Damage for bite is 1d4+Strength modifier?
If attack sucessful snake-constrictor can try to grab and (if sucessful) deal extra damage 1d4 (as it given in the creature’s entry for the animal-companion snake-constrictor).

My players whant that extra damage for constrict will be 1d4+1.5*Strength modifier (as it listed in the creature’s entry for snake-constrictor from Bestiary, not as it listed in the creature’s entry for the animal-companion snake-constrictor). Their arguments is that main stats what for snake-constrictor from Bestiary identical like for the animal-companion snake-constrictor (speed, senses, etc...).
Who is wright?

2) Continious for the question 1...
We have animal companion cat (big) of 4-th level, what damage he deal by his attack?
In the creature’s entry for the animal-companion big cat we have bite (1d8), 2 claws (1d6) and rake (1d6).
In the creature’s entry for the big cat (tiger)from Bestiary we have bite (1d8+6) Without 1.5*Strength modifier, 2 claws (2d6+6) and rake (2d6+6).
What ammount of damage for the animal companion is wright and why for primery attack of tiger takes only 1*Strength modifier not a 1.5 Strength modifier?

3) Natural Reach???
In table Size, Space, and Reach for large creature give animal companion tiger of 4 level typically reach 10 ft, but Bestiary give tiger reach only 5 ft.
What natural reach is wright?

Sovereign Court

1) 1d4+1.5*Str if it is the only natural attack for the creature (see 2)

Constrict: A creature with this special attack can crush an opponent when it makes a successful grapple check, dealing bludgeoning damage in addition to any other effects caused by a successful check, including additional damage. The amount of damage is given in the creature’s entry and is typically equal to the amount of damage caused by the creature’s melee attack.
2)If it is listed in the Animal Companion entry you take that instead of the Monster entry. The attacks don't get 1 1/2 str because there are multiple primary attacks. Not 1/2 not 1 1/2.

Most creatures have natural attacks (attacks made without a weapon). These attacks can be primary or secondary attacks. Primary attacks are made using the creature’s full base attack bonus and add the creature’s full Strength bonus to damage rolls. Secondary attacks are made using the creature’s base attack bonus – 5 and add only 1/2 the creature’s Strength bonus to damage rolls. If a creature has only one natural attack, it is always made using the creature’s full base attack bonus and adds 1-1/2 times the creature’s Strength bonus to damage rolls. This increase does not apply if the creature has multiple attacks but takes only one. If a creature has only one type of attack, but has multiple attacks per round, that attack is treated as a primary attack, regardless of its type. Table 3–1 lists some of the most common types of natural attacks and their classifications.

3)There is a difference between Large(Long) and Large(Tall). See this chart. Humanoid type creatures (stand upright) are typically Large(Tall). Quadrupeds are typically Large(Long). Animal Companion(Tiger) advances at 7th, not 4th, and doesn't get reach. Compare Gorilla vs Lion, both large but Gorilla has Reach and Lion does not.

Thanks for you answer.

So I understand next:
1)+2) Snake constrictor animal companion have one natural attack bite (1d4+1.5 Strength modifier) and special attack grab with constrict (only 1d4).
Big cat animal companion have two natural attack bite (1d8+1 Strength modifier), 2 claws (each of them 1d6++1 Strength modifier) and special attack grab with rake (only 1d6).
I think that The amount of damage is given in the creature’s entry and is typically equal to the amount of damage caused by the creature’s melee attack should understand how typically isn't necessarily so more important creature’s entry).
3) For difference between Large(Long) and Large(Tall) understood.
Animal on 2 legs (gorilla) have bigger reach than animal on 2 legs (lion).

One more question:
4) On 9 lvl animal companion can take feat Multiattack - how it wprcs for snake-constrictor and big cat animal companions? I think so...
Snake-constrictor have one natural attack bite, so first attack will be with full BAB, second with –5 penalty.
Big cat have two natural attack bite and claw, so first attack will be bite or claw with full BAB, second attack will be bite or claw with –5 penalty.

Constrict has 1.5 x strength as well. Big cat doesn’t get iterative attack at -5.

Dark Archive

a creature can make all of its primary natural attacks at no penalty. its only secondary natural attacks that take a -5. Multiattack lowers that to -2. but it doesnt apply to a big cat since all of its attacks are considered primary
