When the game was released there were talks about the Kineticist and how it may come back. This playtest has given better insight as to how they will balance the Kineticist and other casters (Ex: Summoner and Occultist). There is also the fact that the PF2 Oracle curse is very much a worse burn, which further gives us some insight on how things like the Kineticist might be made in this edition.
On a related note, the stance nature of Panache makes for some interesting ideas for Brawler and Shifter. Something like the Brawler feats having different effects depending on wether he has Guard or Offense active. Meanwhile, the Shifter could use it to manage the different forms without directly being tied to Shape change

Yeah I thought it was pretty clear. The playtest and the gathered feedback they talk about in this retrospective give good insights into what they’re thinking, and how other classes might be converted.
Additionally, the obvious parallels between PF1 witches and kineticists, in that both are in different ways descended from the 3.5 warlock, inevitably means that discussing the design/playstyle goals of either touch on both.

Right that is the other thing. PF1 has Kineticists and Witchs very closely tied both having at will abilities, but also the fact that Witches could get the ability to use Kinetic Blasts.
So naturally whatever happens to the Witch's at will hexes, might trickle into Kineticists depending on how the devs balance things. And I do personally believe 90%+ of Kineticists players dont want Kinetic Blasts to be made into 1 per combat abilities.
