Ok, sorry for the delay. Looks like we are ready.
So I see:
Toro-Druid-6
Kyra-Cleric-4
Ezren-Wizard-4
Harsk-Ranger-4
Am I missing anyone for tier 3-4. I had the first post up on the gameplay, so we can get started.
GM Aarvid |
BTW - I will be traveling out of town this weekend for Labor Day holiday, so I will have limited access to post from Friday until Monday night when I return.

I just realized, I was expecting one more to join your group. As a result I did not scale down this encounter at the start. But we have not heard from the 5th player, so that raises the question.
With only 4 being in the party, there is the option to scale down the rest of the encounters unless you like the challenge (you are APL 4.6 playing tier 3-4). For instance there would have only been one beast in this encounter.
GM Aarvid |
It is a year 4, so it assumes 6. With 4 (and 3 being pregens) it has the option to be scaled back. My other group has 5 players and slightly lower levels, but finished the combat in 2 rounds.
However, re-reading the exact rules...4+4+4+6=4.5 (rounds to 5, which puts you at mid tier). We are right where we should be.
Full quote...
In order to determine which subtier a mixed-level group
of PCs must play in, calculate the group’s average party
level (APL). Divide the total number of character levels by
the number of characters in the party. You should always
round to the nearest whole number.Starting with Season 4, scenarios are designed for six
characters and contain instructions on how to adjust the
scenario for four-character parties. When the APL of a table
is between two subtiers (like APL 3 for a Tier 1–5 scenario),
a party of four characters must play the lower tier without
any adjustments for party size. A party of five to seven
characters whose APL is between two subtiers must play
the higher tier with the four-character adjustment.

Driving back this afternoon...should be able to get posts back on schedule this evening.
GM Aarvid |
FYI - I am going to be on business travel to Seattle this week, so my posts might be shorter than usual, depending on my schedule and the hotel connectivity.
GM Aarvid |
FYI, for any of you planning on using this character in the PBP online convention, we should be wrapped up prior to the October 5th start. So feel free to sign up for a slot on the
Paizo Online VC’s PbP Day Event List here.
GM Aarvid |
Going to be driving today and tomorrow - so might not post until Sunday. We should be good on time. Since most are pregens, I guess Toro is the only one that would need to be done by 10/5 to be available for the Online PBP Gameday. So if you need me to rush, let me know.
GM Aarvid |
I think the snake will be able to wrap this up literally. If I Do not see a post by tonight, I will fast forward so we can get to the final encounter before Friday.
GM Aarvid |
Moving into the last encounter now. With only 4 players, the optional encounter with another Pegasus is skipped (which is good since we are pressed for time).
GM Aarvid |
I am going to start working on the chronicles for Friday (for those of you on the PFS Online Gameday. Please make your day-job rolls here if you have them.
Also let me know if anyone is slow advancement. And if you are playing a pre-gen, provide me the PFS# of the character you are assigning this to.
GM Aarvid |
I volunteered but did not pick up any from the game day, I am wrapping up 3 games tomorrow...so that was plenty. I might run one later in the month.
GM Aarvid |
Depending on who is playing in the gameday, we may have to rush this last fight. I apologize we are running low on time for a quality finish.
I have recorded the session already, and the certs are printed and scanned (for those of you playing in the Online Gameday). I will try to wrap up tonight and/or summary tomorrow morning.

Pre-Gen
Apply to
59626-2And seems Harsk has no day job. :-P
Hey Harsk - just to be sure, is that your PC "Wreck" or one of the other ones. I am not positive the lookup by number works properly. When I recorded my GM sessions, they went to the wrong PC name.
GM Aarvid |
Ok, a fine finish. Sorry for the confusion on the poison. With 2-3 poison attacks per round, each with ongoing effects and requiring 2 consecutive saves, that was getting too hard to track several days. Thanks for keeping me straight.
Just have the wrap up now. You will need to take care of any ability damage on the 2+ day return trip or it will be recorded on your sheet for next time.
It was interesting running this for two tables simultaneously. In both cases, the dwarf was lured into the water. Otherwise, seemed totally different tracks. That last fight was much tougher than I expected, and that is not even a full strength creature.
I have the sheets ready to go tonight (and make sure once you receive them that they are tracked to the right permanent PC).
