I'm pretty sure you could kill a man with the Core Rulebook, so flimsy and frail are two words I'd never use to describe it.
In terms of its bindings, I've carried it around, spent a lot of time reading and flipping through it, and it's as solid as when I first received it. Unlike my Starfinder collectors edition, which I'm afraid to touch since its pages are so loose now.

The standard edition appears exactly the same in construction as PF1 Core and other large rulebooks. It's not as intricately bound as say... Slumbering Tsar, but it doesn't need to be.
This is a massive book, and one that's going to be handled a lot. Do not expect it to survive forever. I've got a battered and mangled 1st-printing PF1 Core which is entirely usable, and I expect this to be the same after a decade of use.
Honest, unless someone's getting significantly inferior batches of books, this is of expected quality.

I see from your order history that your LE Starfinder Core Rulebook came from a print run in which many copies had a faulty binding. Please see this blog for information on determining whether that's the problem here, and if so, how you can get it replaced.

Ok. Is there a difference in the quality of the cover from the normal edition to deluxe edition?
