Samsaran Druid Concept - Help needed

Advice

So I am running out of time on deciding what to play for a Shattered Star campaign (T-minus 2 days).

I have a really rough concept for a Samsaran Druid Background that I would appreciate receiving some brainstorming on

My idea is a Samsaran Feral Shifter

Whose previous ten lives have been '_____ Shaman'
Bear, Lion, etc

What I am struggling with is why might they want to join the Pathfinder Society?

Once you lived ten lives in the wilds already, it becomes time to get a taste of civilization. And the Society is a good way to encounter many different cultures without becoming too attached to specific cities or nations.
The people of the Pathfinder Society become the Druid's new tribe, their new wolf pack.

Some great evil slaughtered your animal kin, in this life or the immediately previous one, and you will train with these humanoids until you are ready to take it on (11th level).

Or, now that you have learned from ten kinds of animal it is time to show what you have learned so that other sapients can take your teachings and grow closer to the harmony of the natural world.

Or, the 11th kind of animal you seek to learn from is the humanoid. It might work better with an urban druid, true.

I quiet like these two, and I think with a little work they complement each other to have a rich deep backstory
