How to handle a possible broken feat combo

So my friend pointed out a possible ranger feat combo and I said it didnt work and now we are trying to figure it out. So what is the combo: Hunt Prey + Monster Hunter + Monster Warden + Favorite Enemy. They said as be reading when you have the monster Hunter feat and you roll, initiative the favorite enemy says you can freely recall knowledge and if you crit succeed you give everyone +1. Then they start their turn and you can 3 times hunt 3 additional targets that are your fan.enemy and gain the +1. I argued that it wouldn't work because when you choose a new target for Hunt Prey your last target losses the Hunt Prey stuff. They said as it seems Monster Hunter's +1 would maintain because you have already pointed out the weakness and then moved it. Anyone have any thoughts on this

I wouldn't call spending 4 feats and your entire round to give allies a +1 against three enemies broken. Your player built and plays a support ranger - given those feats are there, that's an expected role.

I don't know if those bonusses keep staying after switching targets though.

It is also 3 crit successes you're talking here, and by contrast a bard can give +1 against all enemies with one action, no check or chance of failure, and no feats.

So I guess the bug question is do the +1's stay after moving targets

Even if the bonus does stay, this isn't broken.

But I don't have the text of the abilities handy to draw a conclusion about whether or not they do.

You can have only one creature designated as your prey at a time. If you use Hunt Prey against a creature when you already have a creature designated, the prior creature loses the designation and the new prey gains the designation.

You and allies you tell gain a +1 circumstance bonus to your next attack roll against that prey.

RAW: Monster Hunter only gives the bonus against that >prey<. It doesn't say "against that creature". So, if you chose a new prey the old one loses that designation and with that the bonus from Monster Warden.

But thruth is, you ranger has to critically succeed. So if they employ the tactic you have given, they basically give themselves 4 tries to crit. If one of those does crit, that's already good and they can then do something else. :)
