Reminds me of when I read Stephen King's book "IT". I was so confused. I thought it was about a computer tech going on a rampage, but instead it was just a weird clown.

STS: oh beat 10 now on 11 with defect beat final boss with the one that channels lighting for every lighting you've played before. I had 2 of the play a power get lighting and get hit and get 2 lighting with 2 extra focus I took him from 239 to dead with like 30* in a row from that one card.

Nicely done.

Whoa.

Apparently I have a new superpower.

I was hoping for lightning out my fingertips...

We can't all have the best super powers...

*scuffs feet on shag carpet*

Some... day... lightning... fingers...

Paint lightning bolts on your nails. Maybe that will help.

I was figuring I’d spontaneously get lightning bolt nails after my powers manifest. Also, I’d know martial arts. And maybe parkour.

I tried climbing a palm tree yesterday. Didn't get many wheres but it was sort of funny. I guess you are supposed to wrap your arms around the tree rather then use the knobs on the tree as crimps...

And no, I can't climb lamp posts.

STS: on 14 for defect. amazed at how much lowering my max hp by just a little hurts me.

So how long till you try out for ninja warrior?

I'm still stuck on 17 with Defect. I've come close a time or two, but generally can't even make it past the second boss. Sometimes not even the first.

I find myself seeing a set up immediately going down hill and resetting a lot. One thing that has been working that got me my last two wins was getting something that gives me artifact and then playing the 4 focus that removes one a turn so the artifact negates that. The last boss for 13 I had 15 focus which pretty well means you win with defect.

I meant Silent, not Defect. Sorry.

That does sound like a good combo.

Still where I was on the other two. haven't felt like playing them.

Ugh so busy tonight. I haven't checked in this many people in a long time.

I miss us not being able to give rooms to locals. Locals always cause trouble.

I wouldn't say always, but yeah, a lot of times.

I did sign up for Spartan Sprint on 28 March 2020. I expect I will STILL fall off the monkey bars and end up doing burpees, despite my practice as the bars I practice on are waaay easier then other monkey bars. On a good day I can go one direction, turn on the bars, and go the other way, doing different hands on each bar.

Yeah I am no good what so ever at monkey bars.

So character for my home game are all lvl 4 now (the all 18's game) I got to say they pack a punch to I can throw cr 8's at them and they can handle it. It kind of impressive how much of a power bump it gave more so then you would think. I'm gonna start going with numbers to challenge them.

STS: beat 14 on to 15.

Started on Brian Mcclellan's Blood of Empire.

Just what is a Vidmaster? And why are you number 7?

Well the name Vidmaster I've had since I was 13. It was a play on Kid Vid which was from a little kids cartoon. Didn't really watch the cartoon but I liked the word. I think it was short for Video. The 7 is a secret Easter egg that other posters have managed to find previous iterations of Vidmaster.

I don't know. I seem to fare worse on monkey bars should I have been lifting weights the day before. It may be a still tired thing etc. Anyway I'm not the right kind of build for monkey bars. Too stocky, a bit on the heavy side(gained some weight in the hols =().

I'm a bit odd shaped actually. Like rather bulky rather then slender. I never got stick skinny you know.

But when it comes to feats of strength then yes I lift quite a bit more then people might expect of my small size.

Some classes like melee classes and monks need high stats in the physical characteristics just to function properly. A wizard only needs int, and maybe Dex and con. High attribute scores I think benefit melee classes more.

I kind of agree. The biggest difference I've noticed is that that 18 con really help keep them alive vrs things that would normally kill them outright. heck just them having to -18 before they die makes a huge difference. some other things. Mithrel armor is super popular and no one is bothering with heavy armor at all naturally.

my more veteran players are taking advantage of the stats with class combos that normally wouldn't work to well or just classes that need a few stats. The brawler is benefiting probably the most. The sorcerer is basically taking advantage of it by having some back up melee stuff for when she doesn't want to burn a spell slot. Both the rogues are loving it. all their skill checks are the bomb. blood rager it's hard to see a real advantage to it yet but I think when he really starts getting spells it will be more noticeable. The one who seems to be benefiting from it the least is the kineticist. Like I feel like he was gonna have the high dex and high con and nothing else seems to effect him really. Although he has picked up some melee options for his kinetic stuff.

One of my players has a back up option I'm kind of dreading. They want to do a multiclassed zen archer monk/ archer paladin. The build looks ridiculous. The saves over the top. I'm kind of afraid of killing them because I know how devastating that will be.

The Exchange

Just dip 2 in paladin for the saves then zen archer all the way. I hope you didn't allow cyclonic bows or you could give the other party members something to do by dropping them in the middle of a hurricane.

I might try monstrous physique/beast shape line entertainment as the sorc with 18 in all stars. Then I can really go animal on people.

I personally wanted to see someone play a dragon disciple see if they can get it to work.

The Exchange

Did I tell you about the dragon disciple who crashed our airship because he sensed something (blindsense) in the engine room? He decided to start throwing fireballs.

You have not but it sounds real interesting.

I think they were talking about the divine hunter archtype for the paladin. which I know replaces heavy armor with precise shot and you divine bond a bow I would say I wouldn't go higher then 5 with the paladin part but maybe she sees more then I do. The smite evil with a 18 charisma. of course charisma to all saves plus monks already awesome saves.

It's almost as good as my third edition half celestial unicorn paladin concept.

Well we were on an airship trying to chase an enemy airship, then our engines started losing power after some noise was coming from the engine room. We went to investigate, heard more noises and suspected sabotage. So since we saw nothing, the dragon disciple did sense something and thought the best way to deal with the saboteurs was to cast a fireball in the engine room to fry them. He's got 8 wis so...

And his super big empowered fireball blew a hole in the ships Hull and we started crashing. Great decision making skills lol? =P

Reminds me of the Deadlands game where I played a mad scientist. He wound up on top of a zeppelin, with 98 sticks of dynamite in several bandoliers strapped to his chest.

It ended about how you'd expect.

Someone was not familiar with the Hindenburg.

But now probably can imagine it fairly well.

STS: beat another one on iron clad. After grinding defect to 15 8 on ironclad seemed easy.

I suspect the player is actually since he's in the events organization job and reads up on all kinds of trivia. But he was RPing a low wis character that way. That's also the group that decided to pee on a flaming book to put out the fire.

Also I finally hit the gym today after a long hiatus(sick). I'm still sick and weights were kinda crap, especially the upper body presses. Dropped to 25 kg on chest press, had to take 2 breaks on the last 2 sets of 8 reps on the 22.5 kg overhead press. Even for the heaviest deadlift weighs for 65 kg on last set of 8 reps, I had to take a break and the front squats felt harder.

I did one way on monkey bars, turned then went the other way before hitting the gym. I look forward to the day where I can turn another loop on the monkey bars.

I have been doing free weights mostly. Keepin at it anyways.

I'm parsing HTML with sed and awk. It would be 10,000x's
quicker using an editor, but I just really want to do it this way.
Because I have to learn sed and awk as I'm doing it.

It's all about priorities.

Interesting choice of tools. I would've expected the use of LEX and YACC, but that's just me. Let us know how it goes.
