Scoured Stars Segments - Can't catch 'em all on one PC

So my main "Scoured Stars" PC (the one I played 1-99 with) has leveled up past the point where I can continue to play some of the newer scenarios that offer the Segment boons with him. Will the eventual payoff for these boons be character-specific or "account-wide"?

I remember seeing Thursty say earlier somewhere (it may have been on Discord) that the 'segment' boons were by player and not by character. So if you have all the segments on any PC they count for anything that requires them.

I'll see if I can dig up the quote...

I have 1-5 on my 8th Level character.

Are there still some coming out for lower level scenarios?

Spoiler:
1-31 gives out Segment 6. It's a 3-6 so you've outleveled it already.

I couldn't find the quote I was looking for, but I did find this...
Thursty says he's still working on them.

That's from September. I swear I remember asking this exact question and being told that it would be per player and not per character, but now I can't find it.

Technically you could create a Second Seekers (Jadnura) faction PC and use the reputation tier replays along with GM nova replays to get them all on one PC.

But yea that's way too difficult. At this point they've kinda painted themselves into a corner with making it player-based and not PC-based.

You still can do all of them on the same character, you just can't say, hold off on 1-17 until level 7 or hold off on 1-11 or 1-13 til level 5. You have to do them as early as you can to fit them all in on the same character.

That being said, I would prefer it if it were player based, personally. I'm trying to get all of them on one character, in order, but it's difficult even taking them as early as I can.

Or there's a secret master plan we just haven't revealed yet.

Some secrets are too fun to share right away :)

as long as there is not a 1-4, I should be able to catch them all...

Thanks Thursty, I'm real excited to see the result of all your (and our) hard work!

Thought for sure that 1-99 was going to have a big use for them, but I guess the best is yet to come.

Mechanically, I'm hoping for something like "X rerolls" during #2-00, or maybe "X +1s to either d20 rolls or damage" based on the number of Segments you've acquired.

Flavorwise, I'm hoping for something like what happened in #1-99, when enemies called you out for having specific Segments. If that ends up being the case, I hope the scenario has sections for GMs to fill in which players have which boons to expedite the process during Gameplay.

I am a bit afraid that the expectations are so high that is impossible to fulfill them and people will be disappointed.

Right now i get flashbacks to sovereign court's "assembling the court" series of boon that also never went anywhere.

Welcome to writing anything that's the capstone of a major series. :P

But in all honesty, I'm looking at a variety of options on how to handle these boons. I think some of them should provide players with some interesting options in the future. But, as mentioned above, YMMV!

So does someone have a 'roadmap' of these things so I can *hopefully* not out-level the content on the character that's done the parts, please?

It's not chronicle fishing if I need to, for mental stability, have all the story on one character right?

Honestly, I would not worry overly much about that.

Agreed. For what it's worth, it will NOT be character specific.

It might be fun to do on one character for continuity's sake...

But that would be really difficult to plan for in Society and would probably be better as a specifically tailored home campaign using SFS resources.

All you mostly have to do, so far, sis to have stopped a character at level 5 and left them that way for a while.

I've managed 4/5 on one character, my 701 and the last one on my 702. Not too shabby...And my 703 has a bunch due to GMing

But there are 6 so far

So, will there be rewards if we have multiples? Because we GM'ed and played stuff?

Yep, and the time I posted originally I hadn't played the 6th scenario...that has been rectified!
