Heh. Turned my heat on a couple of hours ago. About an hour ago I went down to see if it was on. Just as I got to the furnace, there was a "woosh", I saw flames, and then it calmly went on heating the house.

I suppose now I ought to put batteries in my three smoke detectors. :-)

Pfft. You humans. So uptight about fire.

Where do you live? I so long for cold weather.

It got nice today. And yes I would think it's cool to be able to summon Kaiju. That's kind of why I like Marvel's Kid Kaiju. :p :)

I'm so out of the comics world now that I have absolutely no idea who that character is. I'll have to Google him (her).

He's a recent addition, Cal. He came out in a small cross over event while the whole Inhumans were replacing Mutants by Ike Perlmutter.

He's still around (like other Inhumans) but now that Mutants have their own sovereign nation, I don't see Inhuamns as much.

Wow...a sovereign nation! Had no idea. My friends who still buy comics gravitate toward DC so that's all I ever hear spoken about.

Cal,

Yeah it's a complex thing but it's very intriguing what's been going on thanks to Jonathan Hickman whose writing credits include Fantastic Four, Avengers and Secret War (2015). And S.H.I.E.L.D.

Upstate New York. :-)

Yeah, you live in a region that still gets a real Autumn and Winter. I'm jealous. The last time we got any appreciable snowfall was Christmas Day 2012. And it takes until November for the leaves to really get color anymore. sigh...

It has its pluses - and minuses. :-)

I'd like to be in Upstate New York. My brother lived there while helping out in a camp there. If only because I might get snow...

I don't care about leave change as much as cold.

I like 'em both. We don't get as much cold weather here as we did when I was a kid. We have a week or two of really cold weather then it's back to the 40s and 50s by day.

I miss cold weather when I was a kid too. Mostly because it meant keeping the damn bugs out...also it needs to get cold to kill the freaking Japanese Stink Bugs. :P

I've lived in the South or Southwest all my life, so I'm pretty used to long summers and late autumns. On the other hand, I only rarely had to deal with snow.

This is likely the last year of my life that will be true, since I'm moving to Kansas next summer and they definitely get snow.

Hey, Guys! Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey!
The local Ace Hardware had a full-sized Katana in the window. Guess who has it now!

Grimsong, a song that will stick with you even after your death.

That is so cool.

I concur. I absolutely love the flavor text.

In an effort to highlight the awesome of katanas in Ace Hardware, I've recalled the spirit of Freddy Mercury to help sing the new theme song.

"We are the princes of the Hardware stores!"

Wow,
FAst food RPG's, HArdware stores selling katanas, and grimsongs out just in time for Halloween.

Wonder what will happen while I'm off performing NEXT weekend?!?
;P

We're going to the HARDWARE STOOOOOOOOOORE!!

Bleh. Got to sleep at 2, woke up at 4. My knee is going to be the death of me.

Monday, y'all! Up and at 'em!

You know, when I read that I thought that "Monday upon y'all!" would be a potent and rather cruel curse...

1 person marked this as a favorite.

LOL it really would.

Monkday you say....

LOL, oh monkey -one kenobi,...

Sigh, I was SO tired after our afternoon show yesterday, I felt dead. Couldn't figure out why. (I mean I dance around a lot, especially in my characters solo, but it's not like running a marathon)

Then I realized, I had woken with a headache, went to the grocery store, and did the show, and all I had eaten all day was 1 yogurt cup with a palmful of walnuts... and coffee of course.

Yeah, YOU trying doing a musical, singing and dancing on an empty tank! ;P

Important tips for you,... NOW you know! :)

Yeah. That's a pretty sparse diet for that sort of busy-ness...lol

My son has been running a fever since yesterday afternoon. I don't know what he has but I maybe catching it. I feel achy and icky and the two hot dogs I had for lunch are not sitting well.

Ruhroh.

Hopefully it'll pass! And not in the "well, he passed" kind of way. Because what the hell with THAT euphemism?

Feel better.

Thanks, Q. My Gf lives almost 2 hours away and she just told me SHE'S feeling like poop. She gave me explicit instructions to not be sick this weekend as she's coming to visit then she tells me that! Unfair, I say.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

LOL, feel better!

Good news? You've got until the weekend to recover!
:)

True, true. As well as clean all the house, wash all the dishes, and come up with an adventure by 6 pm on Saturday. So far I have 3 lines of notes...LOL

Monday hasn't been bad just wet because of rain that honestly we need.

That and I need to get a repair person to fix my overhead fan...damn thing feels like it's going to spin out of control like some Indiana Jones death trap...

3 people marked this as a favorite.

Heh, I really tried to find a clip of the Indy /temple of doom scene where the thugee dies by ceiling fan & whip,

Sorry,...
:(

I wish my internet would crash so I would have to get up and do something constructive. Otherwise, I'll be here all day. Again. Well, not here on the forums only, but Facebook and various news sources. And cat and puppy pictures.

OK. Got a significant portion of the dishes done. Not all of them and the silverware is a job all on its own, but I made a dent in the pile.

heheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheh

This mad cackle has been brought to you by the letter [YELLOW SIGN] and the Strange Aeons adventure path, which I'm about to continue inflicting on my players.

Today is a good day.

[conspiracy baked="half"] The King in Yellow is actually...

>_>

<_<

Chris Martin [/conspiracy]

Aw. I'm slightly jealous! I want to run Strange Aeons too...but not sure I could with my current group.

Also I'm glad Rag tried to find that gif.

Finally, I have a new light in myfe room. Admittedly it's a FAIRLY cheap floor lamp...but at least now I can turn it on without worrying I might pull the fan from the ceiling...

Still can't turn on my fan though...

Replacing a ceiling fan is not that difficult. Especially if your replacing it and not installing from scratch. You can use the original hanging point and not install your own.
IMHO of course. ;P

I had to replace my son's ceiling fan a while back, because it was giving of not only wonderful drafts of air and glow of light, but wonderful wafts of smoke as well. From the main fan pull switch.
;P

Yeah,... I decided the extra money was worth it, since if I replaced the switch and it STILL was blowing smoke I would have had to do it anyway.
;)

Rag,

Fan repair expertise along with electrical work isn't something I feel is in my wheel house...

I STRONGLY suggest checking out NobodysHome's SA Journal before running it, so you can hopefully head off some of the headaches and confusion you may encounter as GM.
