Monkey Santa’s on his way. You should know... his version of “doing” the dishes is kind of... well, Mafia inspired. Like “they did Sonny on the causeway” thing.

Good luck.

Noted.

As it should be.

I don't wash dishes by hand, Cal. But I can make the dishwasher do it for you if you have one. :p

Also while the dogs DID let me sleep on my bed...it wasn't as comfortable as last time.

Hopefully with the lack of me eating so much before bed will encourage me to sleep more.

I don't have a dishwasher, which is why they pile up so much. I HATE doing dishes!!!

Well I guess I COULD wash them for you...but I can't dry. I hate drying. :p

Drip dry is fine...LOL

I don't LIKE doing dishes,...

BUT, I absolutely HATE them piling up in the sink even more,... and I seem to be the only one in the house that truly bothers, sooo,......

I stuff what I can in the dishwasher, and wash what I must by hand..

Oi, a few months ago, the dishwasher broke. Water everywhere. (Was probably just a hose, but I was convinced to buy a new machine)

I DETEST the new 'energy efficiency' standards.

'Energy Efficiency' is a fancy phrase for 'Your expensive @$$ machine isnt allowed to use enough energy to actually DRY the %$#@ dishes!"

>_<

Where's my coffee?!? (HAppy place,... Happy place,...)

The sinks are empty but the dishes have merely been stacked on the counter next to them. But I find that by doing a bit of organizing them I can tackle them better. Weird, I know. I'll try to actually start washing them later today when this headache has hopefully subsided. My knee and back are also acting up, but I can sit at the sink and wash dishes if necessary.

My sink contain only a single baking pan and a glass jar that will end in the glass recycle bin sooner or later.

Gads, it's only 8 pm. I woke up much earlier than normally today and therefore this day seems to be taking forever to pass. I generally get up between 10 and 11 in the morning (I don't work anymore so there's no rush) but I was up at 6 this morning helping my son get ready to have surgery on his sinuses. Then that took place and there was the whole waiting in recovery, etc. I'm seriously thinking of going to bed. Man, I feel old...lol

Well it's 10 pm here. But I spent the hours of 2 pm to almost 5 doing MASSIVE cleaning. I managed to vaccum, wash the bed sheets, mop the kitchen and the other wooden floors upstairs, dusted and moved some things around. I also had time to stop by my grocery store for a few things (though turns out I need more cash if I'm going to take my mom's car up to Pittsburgh to pick her up on time there...) Right now I can honestly say...this cleaning stuff isn't great.

Also I did dishes but since I have a dish washer...not that difficult...

Anyone here ever read "Rappacini's Daughter" by Nathaniel Hawthorne? It's about an Italian Renaissance professor who fed his daughter tiny bits of poison from birth and now even her breath is deadly toxic. This inspired me to roll up a Vishkanya Stalker (Path of War class) with the Steel Serpent discipline as the adversary in this upcoming weekend's game. She's gonna kick major boo-tay.

I'm familiar with the trope but not the story.

Also my envy is coming to end because my cookermehrm I mean my MOM is coming back from her extended vacation.

How is everyone's Wednesday going?

Flamethrowers. I need flamethrowers in multiple locations. It's the only way.

(In other words, The People At Work, even The Ones from OTHER Companies, are driving me absolutely insane with their nonsensical babbling demands.)

Banner day here! I'm just on the upswing from my daily Starbies high.

Oy, I remember working with people like that. Wonderful visions of iron spikes in their heads got me through the day.

I was talking about coworkers like Vanykyre's, not you, Quark Blast! LOL

Hmmm... flamethrowers for some, iron spikes for others.

Don’t blame me. I voted for Kodos.

LOL!!

I can't get enough of Myrath's newest album. It's a rare thing nowadays for something musical to come along that I really, really love. I posted about this in the music subforum when it came out and I'm listening to it just as much now as I was then.

Myrath - "Shehili"

Three hours driving (1 of which was pure hell being stuck in construction. Curse you PennDOT!), and I'm back home with my mom who won't cook me dinner tomorrow.

But at least I got her lunch meat so she can have a sandwich tomorrow.

Oi yes!!!

Dealing with <redacted because I'd like to KEEP my job> is driving me nuts yesterday and today! yes, even more nuts than my clients USUALLY do.
;P

Flamethrowers,... hrm,... yes, that will work nicely.
I get rid of <redacted> and (eventually) get a new facility. Win-win!

;)

As long as you don't iron spike my coffee, do what ya gotta do.

:D

I haven't read that particular story but I've read/seen a few other stories that use the same principle, yeah.

It's less late than when I last posted, but honestly feel better because while Mom didn't cook as much, she did help some so that I didn't feel like I cooked it all.

Plus you know, handling the dogs for me for a bit.

Ugh. Neuropathy kept me up all night. I guess I could use the extra awake time to do important things I've neglected around the house. But nah...

Breaks are good,
So I hear,

I'll let you guys know when I GET one! (IF I get one,...) ;P

Dealt with the insanity all week, survived, (Yay!)

NOW I get to go and do an opening night show, Matilda the Musical, in a tiny little theater that is surprisingly fun to perform in.
(Yay?)

This time, i'm ON the stage, not the tech! :D

Kid, I'm gonna make you a STAR!

LOL,
With MY usual luck, it'd be a beautiful but short-lived SHOOTING star!
;P

Yeah, it was one of the short stories I let my juniors pick from for their Romanticism project.

Cool!

I switched to a new insurance carrier at the end of July and have had a devil of a time getting my pharmacy and it to jibe. I had to fight to get every prescription paid for last month by Humana but I think it's finally paid off. Today I had no issues getting my pain meds filled, which last month they said they would only fill 7 days' worth because it's an opioid. I and my pain doctor had to jump through hoops to get it pushed through. I was dreading having to do that again today but woohoo! Easy peasy!

Made my first 2e character the other day. Roland McDowell, a simple fighter.

Cool. One of my players is in a 2e game in his hometown. He was trying to sell me on it last game night but I had to firmly but politely get it across to him I just wasn't interested. I hope Paizo does well with it but we're finished spending money and reinvesting in games. We have plenty of source material for PF1e to run as long as we continue to play.

This is mainly for PFS Game Day here, so that I don't miss out on a session if there's not enough players for either Classic Pathfinder or Starfinder.

Ah Friday...the day I can rest. At least in theory. Also pretty soon, I'll be done having to go back and forth on a 26 minute drive (total round trip) by Monday.

So I went out for pizza yesterday with my friend Amy (we have lunch together every Friday). We ordered our usual and just talked until it showed up as we do. The server brings our pizza to us and then tells us they forgot to include ONE topping out of the ones we requested and that they are making ANOTHER of the same pizza with the right mix and it would be finished in just a few minutes. All that over ONE missed topping! I would definitely not have been upset by not having jalapenos on my pizza but for them to do that for their customers blew us away. So yeah, we got two large pizzas with the works for the price of one today.

3 people marked this as a favorite.

No free pizzas today but one of my players forgot a package of three ham and turkey sliders in my fridge, so yay me! Midnight snack achieved!

I also noticed a bottle of heavy cream someone left behind. I have no idea what they brought that for.

Sage for Forbidden Lands. It will be probably the last Forbidden Lands post for now with something else next week.

Unless I get really brilliant (at least in my own mind) idea.

I got no free pizza but I did get a reprieve from visiting cats. Also for gaming, while I didn't kill my character, I DID come close to dying while trying to search the body of a dead stone giant while more giants were on the way...
