So I just got done playing the playtest for the first time and this is what i saw as a player that i liked and didnt like.
Initially i found character creation a little crazy at first. It took some time to adjust to the character sheet layout and how it all worked. Afterwards it was fairly pleasant overall.
I played as a cleric and good god can they do some serious healing. I was very pleased with 2.0's cleric. The channel energy is still weird though lol. Probably the 1.0 in me talking.
Dragon totem barbarian party member destroyed everything also very interested in that class now. The 3 rounds of rage limit seemed sad but doable i suppose.
Spellcasters being capped at 3 spells per level was a harsh blow. My go to class has always been casters and this almost was enough to drive me away from ever casting again... I'm sorry but this is extremely low.
Heighten spells are amazing.
Not very many general feats. Too many skill feats especially when u only get a few skill increases unless if your a rouge you cant qualify for vrry many..
CRB trying to find some info like dispelling magic was rough. (Go to page X, now go to pg, Y, now go to Z and still not learn what you were after.
Initiative being any skill dependent on the trigger is very odd but interesting.
Combat seemed very streamlined and fast especially for literally learning the game n all the mechanics as we went.
But overall i feel like 2.0 is going to be amazing. But i cant help but feel like casters got punched in the dick.... hard...
