Is restoration casting time too long to be useful?

In a recent adventure our party wanted to use restoration to remove conditions, but the casting time is 10 MINUTES.

Restoration (4th) level is supposed to be able to reduce the level of toxins, but in 10 minutes many poisons and toxins are acting in a time frame that makes restoration useless.

I'm not sure why the casting time on restoration isn't 2 or 3 actions...

I think they may have erred in combining this spell with the old Neutralize Poison, which had a much shorter casting time for the reason you cited. A 10 minute casting time is fine for out of combat removal of long duration conditions, but not for dealing with fast acting poisons.

I hope it get fixed then.

Silver Crusade

Keep in mind that you couldn't cast Restoration in one round in PF1; it had a 3 round casting time.
