In Pale Mountain's Shadow. Zakfah question

The Gnoll Sargent Zakfah is listed as having his strike action with a Scimitar, and his picture shows him with a scimitar as well, however his gear does not list him as having a scimitar and instead lists a longspear. Which should he be using?

Also his damage makes it look like a magic scimitar, too. If it is, that’s good loot for the PCs headed into the to,b, but a potentially deadly one.

It's not. A lot of Monster have no magic weapon but somehow has increased dices.

I also noticed that it seems however consistent with the quality of the weapon (expert = 2 dices in the bestiary) but I didn't check everyone.

Make me wonder if it is "Monster are just better. Deal with it" or the remnant of a previous iteration of the rules there Quality added dice and they forgot to change the bestiary.

Unfortunately I think it is "They outclass you even when using the same weapon".

aside from the longspear, he also looks exactly the same as “Gnoll Sergeant” in the bestiary.

But yeah, the Hogolin Sniper looks like it also gets double damage from weapons that aren’t magical. Would love to hear the rationale!
