Anyone have any thoughts on an urban barbarian build for a party face character?
Previous campaign was 17 point buy, one trait, Pathfinder only. And multi-classing must be roleplayed, so extra classes have to be part of the on-going story or explained at 1st level.
This particular GM gives as much weight to our speech and tactics as our skill rolls, but I want to have back-up on the character sheet. He also likes evil NPC's who are helpful, sorcerers, and dislikes magic marts. (all of which I am fine with) Campaigns start from first level and head into the teens or early 20's.
The next setting has not been fully chosen, but I'm expecting a fair amount of urban, as the present game has a shipwrecked-on-Jurasic park, survive-the-evil-civilizations theme.
I'm seeing a well-dressed, handsome man-about-town, with connections/fame and a very forceful manner. I had no particular weapon in mind, but would want to be able to carry it openly in an urban area.
Other than the obvious intimidate focus, does this generate any ideas?

Well, urban barbarian tends to lend itself more towards a high dex build straight from the box. Unfortunately you'll be doing sub-par damage until you can get an agile weapon or unless you dervish dance. 16Dex 14Con 14Cha and you drop whatever to generate the extra three points.
You could drop your two starting human feats to grab heavy armor and then just be Two handed barbarian who happens to have okay AC and is kinda pretty. The stat array could be pretty much the same with Str and Dex switched. Also 14Str 14Con 14Cha wouldn't be too bad and then you could stick the 2 somewhere useful. In fact i'd probably go with that if I had to build a facebarian.

I made a half-elf Fighter build that was a pretty good diplomat. It should be easier for a Barbarain, since they have more skill points, even more so if he's human.
here is the build, if you're interested.
Admitedly, it uses 20pt buy and 2 traits, so you might have to adapt it a little. Not too much, though, as your extra skill points mean you don't have to invest in Int like he did.
Feats like Intimidating Prowess and Cornugon Smash are a great way to make your Intimidate bonus useful in combat!
