Another option I've considered for playing a religious bard (because, you know, there's gobs and gobs and gobs of Western classical music that is at least meant to be played in church) is to pick out the bardic masterpieces found in Blood of Angels.
Or there's the silver balladeer archetype. While apparently the source material isn't overtly religious, you could certainly give it that bent if you wanted to.

Or play a dawnflower dervish as a Sarenrae follower. They double up on inspire courage bonuses in return for making it purely a self buff. With +8/+8 bonuses to attack/damage, you are hitting hard enough to be a psuedo martial character. Especially after you add on arcane strike.
My only advice is to abandon the dervish dance feat that the archetype gives for free- it is 1 weapon/1 handed, which gives ou no real advantages. You are better off doing archery or TWF (with a cestus) instead, since the large static bonuses to damage on every hit favors a many hit style.
