I'm currently running a LoF game using the Pathfinder rules, and my group ran into
Spoiler:
the antimagic field around the black spire. The group consists of 2 witches, an alchemist, a sorcerer, a rogue, and a paladin. One witch and the paladin were not present for this session, so the ghasts in the AM field were a bit of a problem. I told them I'd post their solution as it was quite creative.
The group enlarged their strongest member, and had him fly up above the AM field. He then lowered the lightest person down a rope into the field to the top of the spire, allowing that person to harvest shards while the ghasts streamed up the spire. Pulling the rope back up, the group went on their merry way.

Cause we're adventurers (I'm the Sorc) and that's how we roll dang it! No full bab characters? No problem!
