Which Pet would be the best squig?

I'm thinking about a Hunter or Sacred Packmaster Gobbo with a squig pet.

Which option would come clostest to this:

Trollhound I’d say, but you can’t get those as a companion without GM permission /finagling with the Monstrous Companion Feat.

More or less anything with a bite attack (or a gore attack reflavoured to a bite). Add claws for an attack squig. Probably want something that is small going to medium but there are larger squigs out there.

Badger, boar, bristle boar, tyranosaurus, dire rat, goblin dog, gorthek etc...

Roc for a squighawk?

I'd go with a giant frog animal companion, and try to trade in the swim speed for a bestiary giant frogs' jumping bonuses. Squigs bounce. Or just convince your GM that the absence of those jumping bonuses from the animal companion is an obvious oversight.
