Rogue 8th level TWF Question

Rules Questions

At 8th level why doesn't the Rogue get 4 attacks?
1 main / 1 off hand with all the bonus and negatives
And then for the additional +1 attack, why doesn't the rogue
Get an additional main hand and off hand attacks?

Why does he only get an additional 1 main hand attack
At +1?

So that's 3 attacks and not 4.
I'm not understanding why he don't get 4 attacks
When he gets 2 attacks at 8th level 6/1

When he has TWF and only one attack but attacks twice
Why don't he get 4 attacks when he gains the additional attack?

Two weapon fighting only ever gives 1 extra off hand attack. To get more than that, you need Improved Two Weapon Fighting.

Quote:
If you wield a second weapon in your off hand, you can get one extra attack per round with that weapon. You suffer a –6 penalty with your regular attack or attacks with your primary hand and a –10 penalty to the attack with your off hand when you fight this way. You can reduce these penalties in two ways. First, if your off-hand weapon is light, the penalties are reduced by 2 each. An unarmed strike is always considered light. Second, the Two-Weapon Fighting feat lessens the primary hand penalty by 2, and the off-hand penalty by 6.

One, period. Not one extra per attack you normally have. Just one extra total.

Thank you

There is a feat series for that, each adding one more attack to the offhand. They have high DEX requirements, but rogues got that covered I suppose.

yeah, there is improved two weapon fighting, and greater two weapon fighting if you want off hand iteratives.

You need BAB +6 and TWF and 17 Dex to get Improved TWF, which if you plan ahead properly, you get at 8th level using the rogue talent that gives you a bonus combat feat. Or wait until 9th level and use your regular feat to get it.

At 15th level, you can get Greater Two Weapon Fighting, since your BAB will be +11 then; you also need Dex 19+, TWF and ITWF.

It's a pretty big investment, but if you are able to get 6 sneak attacks off, at level 11, that is an extra 36d6 if you hit every time.
