I could definitely see Pathfinder justifying giving them tweaked stats. But given Starfinder is set thousands of years in the future where contact between Akiton and the rest of the star system has been much greater I would expect enough intermarrying and migration has simply assimilated these humans into the greater human gene pool.

and by the looks of things, they may well be the majority of humans in the Pact Worlds.
So yup, regular humans.
And it's not "Conan in Space" - red-skinned martians are straight out of Edgar Rice Burroughs' other (of several) smashing successes - the John Carter of Mars books, which begin with the classic "A Princess of Mars" and was adapted into a highly under-rated film by Disney several years back.
In those books, the red-skinned humans are extremely civilized.

If you wanted to make them match the Edgar Rice Burroughs source material, you would have them hatch from eggs, grow up slightly faster than standard humans, and live as long as elves do. Oh -- and eliminate clothing from their starting equipment.
But at this point I would not introduce any other differences until they are revealed in the Pact Worlds hardcover in March (a rumored mention at Gen Con).

well... that's if you wanted to go full Barsoomian. and they do have those harnesses - so they could get armor upgrades but no armor benefits.
oh, and they'd all have exotic poisons and be unable to use non-melee weapons on melee opponents. and they'd be psychic.

I actually did make an akatonian human over on the advice thread. I just used the standard human race rules. Messed up a bit on the stats because I don't know what I'm doing, but I think it works otherwise.
I like the idea of playing an Akatonian human. Lets you play a guy with alien flair but still get the nice human benifit of extra feat+skill/level.

In the Pathfinder comics the iconic heroes travel to the Worldscape, which contains characters from Red Sonja and John Carter of Mars. All of these are Dynamite Comics publications, and I'm still holding out for the heroes to meet KISS.
