The ten foot long dire wolf sniffs the small halfling woman over very carefully. He looks back to Officer Gunderson as if to ask, 'May I?'

First scenario of SkalCon saw my proud Chelaxian Sanguine Angel sent to the rebellious colony of Galt, where she intimidated information out of every person possible in the extrajudicial kidnapping and attempted murder of several wealthy individuals. All of them were informed of the need to end this so-called "revolution" and return to the good graces of Her Infernal Majestrix, Queen Abrogail II. Clearly, their anarchic ways are nothing but a danger to themselves and they should acquiesce to the perfect laws of Asmodeus.

Table 2: 8am GMing of Starfinder 1-02. Confused both Obozaya and her player with clubs concealed in cheek pouches, left many of the party in dire straights with each combat. It was a good session overall.
Table 3: The Sanguine Angel is asked to avert war in Brevoy and explore some ruins. Neither are generally in her wheelhouse, but it was discovered that Brevan nobles are relatively unimpressed with her impressive skill in intimidation. Some brigands assaulted us, but were left as an example unto others on their own spears. The team worked well throughout the exploration and we were remarkably successful.
Tonight: Assault on Absalom!

Thanks to Chris Rathunde, we had an amazing time at the special!
Thorval learned some new spells! He now knows "cannonball!" and has a new version of "Diplomicize!" (Which looks a lot like "Give the troll a hug until his head pops off")
Plus, Thorval chose to drop out of rage after the first round of combat against some undead foes when he figured they were "too easy" after one punching on back to just plain death.
All in all a great time was had!

Table 4: Assault on Absalom in the 5-6 subtier, 5 players. In a combined 30 character levels, 13 of those were fighter, 0 of them were arcane or psychic caster, and the highest caster was warpriest 6. Despite this, we held our own in the skill-based things and we TROUNCED most of the combats. Thanks again to BretI for running an enjoyable table, and my continued apologies for the additional bookkeeping of the intimidations.
That said, it was funny to see how much the shaken condition did in the course of the night. The impact was much greater than the 10% would indicate. It's also a good time to hear that minotaurs will be shaken for the rest of their lives.
Table 5 is in just under 2 hours, with another run of SFS 1-02. I hope that it goes off, but last-day-of-con tables have a way of disappearing under one's feet.

Hey everyone!
I want to give a shout out to everyone that rolled dice with us this past weekend. We had an amazing turnout (~95 peeps per slot, even Sunday) and raised an awesome amount of items listed on Tubman's donation wish list.
I know I say this every year, but it really is true. I do not know of a more caring, generous, and passionate family of Pathfinders, anywhere. Everyone who worked hard to put this convention together deserves all and every accolade of which you can think. From our VC IT team, to the Queen of the HQ; First of her Name; Wallet Bane, to our guiding voice of sanity; and to our numerous volunteers. To all of you I say, "Thank you." With out your dedication Skal Con does not happen. Again, thank you. I can't name them all because there are too many and it is inevitable that I would forget someone.
To everyone who traveled from out of state to our little corner of the world, thank you! I don't know what it is, but somehow we convince more of you all to join us every year. And then you keep coming back every year. And to those who are repeat attendees from out of town? You get hugs. Big Hugs.
To the vendors who came to sell their wares, thank you! There are a lot of very happy kitties out there right now.
And finally, Big Ups to Thurston Hillman, Clinton Boomer, and Jaye Sonia (Storm Bunny Studios) for helping us raise a lot of money. And when the book is printed, all y'all need to check out Bloodlines and Black Magic. It is really good and a lot of fun. We'll be running org play here locally when that starts up.
I hope to see everyone again next year! Come on up and visit us; we're good people.

It was a great time. The wheels are already a spinning for next year! Hope to see everyone back again and more new faces! This community is one of the best! Thanks to all who came to play.
Thanks to all the people who helped run tables and HQ.
Thanks to everyone who bought dice from me multiple times as I circled the room with my bowl of Starfinder Blue dice or Liberty's Edge dice that needed someone kind to free them from their captivity.
Thanks to everyone who was patient with us learning how to get the traffic flow better while using all the new electronics we've just begun to take advantage of!
:D
TO NEXT YEAR YAHOOS!

Huge thank-you to the staff for...
...letting me help with HQ.
It was a bit nerve-wracking heading in, because the only recent previous experience was Sagamore Ballroom HQ at GenCon this year, and I had no concept of how things would scale in comparison, but after the first ten minutes it really started clicking.
Huge thank you to the folks that attended, the folks that donated, the folks that volunteered their time either at HQ, GMing, or dragging some of us around town to the airport and the like.
Minnesota's hospitality, as always, was exemplary and understanding of the limits of this old bird's body, and the fervent hope is that I will be able to make it up again next year.
The one concern (volume of noise in convention area) that would be raised is actually something the organizers are well aware of, and are taking steps to resolve, so there are no negatives here, only positives moving forwards.
Expect commentary from the 'country' Scarab Sage at some point...

Hey all,
Thanks for having us out. Like I said on Facebook, this was easily one of the best cons I've been to in a while. As a GM, I'd definitely go back. All my tables were fantastic.

Definitely one weekend I look forward to every year. I had an absolute blast running Yesteryear's Truth on Saturday afternoon and, of course, the special with TOZ, Mrs. TOZ, Wei Ji, and Keith plus other yahoos. Thank you to Thursty and Jaye Sonia for two awesome games of Starfinder/B&BM.
Thank you to all the organizers of such a wonderful convention. I'm glad that I could be a part of it and can't wait for next year already.
Thank you for all that you do.

I am reminded of why Skål Con is absolutely a destination convention when I come back into this thread. The organization is stellar, of course, but it's the people who make it truly special.
The Twin Cities crew and player base is awesomesauce and everything else is just sprinkles on the sundae.

I had overheard a comment from someone at FFG during the convention to the effect of "You guys have several tables on regular game days and you're really organized. Somehow, you multiply the number of people by 10 and you get even more organized. It's crazy."
As always, many thanks to the MN VO crew and everyone who helped make this thing run as smoothly as it always appears to. Y'all rock.
