![]() Hi friends. I've inherited this convention. It's a pretty good time, although February in MN is a hard sell. :D The Con is free if you only want to run games (referee badge) or register as a Judge if you want the option to play as well. Con of the North Website to register for the con. I need lots of volunteers for games. GM sign up form here!! The main hotel is sold out but there are shuttles from others. It works well! If you need a ride from the airport that can also be arranged. We'd love to see you! <3 ![]()
![]() Congrats to Hilary, Erica and AJ!! I still look and mine and go HUH how'd this happen?!?1 :D Congrats to all the new 5 stars!! You've all put in so much work in the community and it's much appreciated. <3 Thank you Tonya for coming and hanging at SkalCon! It's wonderful to see you and I know that everyone had a great time at your tables. We are very lucky to have you at the convention to help us raise money for Tubman! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 ![]()

![]() If anyone needs Airport pick up/drop off: Send me your flight information jolene.danner@10klakesgaming.org I am putting together a spreadsheet so I can get an idea of who could (a) carpool or (b) be picked up by someone We are a bit further out this year and I'm happy to help coordinate people who need assistance getting to the hotel. I'm also getting some more Thur/sun rooms. ![]()

Send me your flight information jolene.danner@10klakesgaming.org and we will work something out. I'm sure others will need a ride to and from as well! ![]()
![]() Billiard wrote: Still waiting to hear back about GMing. We are working on GMing assignments. If you've turned in the form AJ will get back to you as soon as he gets that round of assignments done. It's quite the process with all these tables. I can't imagine doing all the work that he does on it. I'll stick with figuring out the other stuff. :D ![]()
![]() We are going to have such a great time!! We're working hard to make sure the new space is going to be amazing! Laura Shaw and I are working on a Paranoia: Starfinder Edition game for the VIPs/Authors to play while the audience can make modest donations to ~improve the game :D In an effort to make friday more exciting for all the awesome people that come in to help us setup or just take the whole day off so they can hang out. (guys we have a STAGE this year!!!!) Also there's a panel to ask questions after the Paranoia game. I AM SO PUMPED I CAN'T EVEN SOME DAYS!!! I look forward to seeing all of you. ![]()
![]() It was a great time. The wheels are already a spinning for next year! Hope to see everyone back again and more new faces! This community is one of the best! Thanks to all who came to play. Thanks to all the people who helped run tables and HQ. Thanks to everyone who bought dice from me multiple times as I circled the room with my bowl of Starfinder Blue dice or Liberty's Edge dice that needed someone kind to free them from their captivity. Thanks to everyone who was patient with us learning how to get the traffic flow better while using all the new electronics we've just begun to take advantage of! :D TO NEXT YEAR YAHOOS! ![]()
![]() Just wanted to report that half the sessions for 2D Con (152977) seem to have been banished. I have all the reporting sheets with session numbers marked on them still. I see that there is an issue existing already but wanted to report this one as well since GM's have been asking where their session went.

I realize that cutting out the middleman by the online ordering of products is cheaper because it cuts out the middleman; but local gaming venues , I believe, are essential to the long term growth of the gaming community and should be strongly supported. Also to be encouraged are college or high school gaming clubs perhaps with the aid of PFS gaming personnel. The bridge construction that's been going on at Exit for YMB likely didn't help. But it def didn't have anything to do with PFS people or Paizo. ![]()
![]() As the current organizer of YMB, I was devastated when I heard the news. I *did* shed tears over this news. Working with Dan, Doug, Derek, Cody and the other wonderful employees was always easy. They made room for us, seemingly no matter what. If I called and asked for 5 tables, I GOT THEM! They reached out to me to have Pathfinder Society Appreciation Day. They gave raffle prizes and bought a cake and gave us the WHOLE STORE (except the computer terminals) where we packed in 7 tables (only short 2 players have all of them full.) Zach and Monica from Fargo came down to help me Oversee, Ryan Blomquist read the Overseer scripted bits while we tallied the points and kept track of time. It was my first special that I organized and it makes me so happy to see how well it turned out. (thanks Earl from ^^^ in this thread) Running game days here have pushed me many ways. It wasn't easy, but it was good. I am proud of the community we've built up over the years. I'm sad for Dan and Doug, I know they tried to keep the doors open. I know that they are going to try to keep the community going as well, without the store front. I wish them all the luck with that and will happily toss in some events in PFS ways to things that they want to do later. I've had many good times at YMB playing and GMing. Some of the most memorable:
I've laughed, I've cried, I've raged, and I kept going back. Sure we'll all have this at Level Up now on saturday nights. But it won't be the same. It won't be YMB. That place is the best. (at least red team got the PokeGym back on saturday) :D ![]()

*inserts many hearts* The loud speaker we have this year is very helpful to my voice. I'm glad everyone is having a fantastic time. I know that I am!!! Now I'm cleaning up HQ and thinking about next year. Thanks to everyone who came, donated (items and money), had fun and played hard! I know that next year can only be better!! ![]()

![]() I got the modules from my Store for my GM's. just checking in on Pre-Gens (are they the same as part 1? I haven't compared yet) and Chronicle sheets for downloading. If it's just VC's that's fine, just want to make sure we have time to get things printed for the event! The module looks fun and we have 30 RSVP's plus walk in's so it should be a smashing all day event at Your Mom's Basement! ![]()

I appreciate your support Mark. I don't think we mean to come across as vitriol filled raging barbarians. As we all know text doesn't always translate. I believe that all the MN people who've spoken on this thread have the best intentions and only want to make sure SkalCon is not in fact SkalGameDay. We're only 150 something days from our con now so we don't have the luxury to sit and hope. We need answers and solutions. We've put in a lot of time and effort already and we're about to start major crunch time.
