AOO for a wild shaped octopus / combat reflexes

Advice

Just had a question here in regards to AOO. If a creature walks into my threatened area and I have a +2 Dex modifier, do I get three attacks of opportunity on my opponent or would it be just one? If it is just one AOO then there isn't any benefit in having all these extra limbs and taking the feat combat reflexes is there? How would one make optimal use of Combat reflexes in this specific form. A new player learning here, thanks in advance. Everyone on this forum has been great BTW.

How many tentacles you have doesn't matter for Combat Reflexes, as long as you have one free. One provoking action provokes one Attack of Opportunity (except when one action has 2 provocations built into it, such as casting a spell to make a ranged attack).

Unfortunately for transmuters, but fortunately for everyone else, extra limbs do not grant extra attacks of opportunity. Your 30 ft reach as a giant octopus would give you many more opportunities to make attacks of opportunity since enemies will provoke when they try to get close, but to make the most of this you'd need a high dexterity score to compensate for the penalty due to the size increase. That's how to make the best use of combat reflexes, as there are very few other ways to get extra AoOs.

Note that 1 move out of threatened squares provokes 1 Attack of Opportunity from 1 creature capable of making Attacks of Opportunity, even if the move is out of multiple threatened squares.

Hmm say I get an AOO I could use a tentacle to attack with and free action grab my opponent correct? Then when its my turn I could just straight pin the victim?

Oh so your saying an enemy could walk through 4 of my threatened squares but that would only provoke one attack of opportunity?

That's correct. Also note that it's when the enemy leaves the first (or later) threatened square, not when it enters

Most of the time, you don't have to make your Attack of Opportunity with a particular limb. An Octopus might make an AoO with a Bite Attack sometimes.

There are Feats and stuff that make more things Attack of Opportunity triggers. I think that trying to incorporate Attack of Opportunity build features would dilute a Druidzilla build, though.
