Hi there,
So I'm playing a scenario with Alain and Seelah at one location together and I encounter a henchman as Alain.
The henchman says, before you act each character must succeed at a fortitude 10 check (just an example).
Now Seelah has a power that lets her use her Charisma skill in place of the fortitude but she did not encounter the card. Can she still use this power?
I was just reading the rules and I thought I saw something that says the 'you' applies to each character. So she could use her before you act/charisma power here?
Thanks for any help.

I don't have Seelah in front of me to look at the exact wording of her power.
If her power triggers when she has to make a check, then yes...she can use it.
If her power triggers when she encounters a card, the no...she cannot use it.
Take a look at how the power is worded and it should make more sense (hopefully).

Vic explained here that before you act is about when, not who. So, unless a before you act power says it is limited to only what you encounter, you can use it during any relevant "before you act step".
