Pretty much the title. The feat Mounted blade allows a cleave-type effect on a successful ride by attack in that you can attack an enemy adjacent to the original target at a penalty. However, would this target still be subject to the bolstered damage via spirited charge?

PS, does the mighty charge class feature for cavaliers allow a free combat maneuver check against an individual affected by mounted blade in addition to the original target?

I would say it probably does not.
When it was question whether or not a mounted pouncing barbarian got the extra damage on all attacks, the answer was no. Only the initial attack benefited.
Though this situation is different, it is analogous.
I would say no, it probably doesn't get the bonus damage from charging.

I am inclined to concur with Claxon, but I can also see the argument being made for it applying in the instance of piercing two opponents with a lance in a line. I would probably approach it on a case by case basis.

Based on the fact that you make multiple attack rolls, I would say you probably aren't impaling two creatures on your lance in one go.

Yes but you are assuming a lance on the spirited charge. I can easily swing my greatsword/falchion/slashing weapon of choice and slice two foes who are side by side in one swing. I feel like there is reasonable cause that you would get spirited charge on both, considering the feat investment. It would be nice to see an official response to this, as I intend to use this feat.

Getting an official response about anything mounted combat related is like pulling teeth, I'm afraid.
Given that a lance doesn't do extra charge damage if you somehow manage to get more attacks through Pounce, you should expect most GMs to rule the same in this case. If we don't have an official rule we often turn to rules for very similar situations.

Again, not how the feat works because you must make an extra attack roll.
Any argument that starts with "I hit them at the same time" is refuted by the fact you must make an additional attack roll.
If the feat said "when you make an attack you can also use that attack roll to determine if you hit an enemy adjacent to your original target" then I would agree with you that the bonus from charging would apply.
Also, the feat investment is nothing. For mounted charging builds you're going to have ride-by attack anyways, it's practically required. And the mounted combat feat, eh it's a feat tax. But requiring two feats to get this one really isn't much of a feat tax.
