Stunning Barrier + Coup de grace question

Rules Questions

Playing an evil character. Anyway, say, the character has Stunning Barrier up, gets hit and the mob fails the save – stunned for 1 round. Is that enough time for a full-round-action Coup de grace?

You can't Coup De Grace a stunned target.

They have to be Helpless.

Dastardly Finish

You would need the feat linked above to do that.

Not sure why I thought stunned counted, but yeah - I saw that later in my searches. Knew about Dastardly Finish.

Since you brought up needing Dastardly Finish, I guess what you're saying is if they had been helpless for 1 round, it wasn't going to work as a full round action.

If your shield actually rendered them helpless a full-round action coup de grace would work just fine. The condition lasts until they start their next turn, which means you have a full turn of actions before that. A full round action is still finished within your turn.
You wouldn't be able to finish an action that requires 1 round (rather than a full-round-action), but I think this only exist as a spell casting time.

I'd read in another forum that a GDG didn't complete until the start of your next turn.

That's really what I wanted to know more than anything. When does a full round action complete - at the end of your turn or the beginning of your next? I guess Summon Monster would be a good example, yes? Actually, never mind. I'm comparing a one round cast to a full round action... not the same. I'm clear on this now.

Edit - A good conversation on full round action timing.
