Some of my games have been going on for 4 years and still have the same players.

I had to drop a couple of games too. My laptop died, so stuck using my phone for now.

I am ready to destroy this camp...lol.

unfortunately due to time constraints I had two other games I had to shut down cause people lost interest.

I hear ya, I've got about 19 running right now and one more to get up and running tonight, time consuming to juggle them all!

My longest running game is 5 years, most of the core players are still intact but you know how PbP goes, PCs come and PCs go.

How have you found DMing Wrath so far?

pretty good, mythic is a little unbalanced however. Even with me jacking up the difficulty they are stomping most encounter fairly easily. There is one guy that can swing for like 200 damage per hit.

Yep, that is what I read in the reviews, it's an incredible amount of work and the PCs steamroll the villains. Interesting, I ran a 3.5 campaign at Epic Levels through to 37th/38th. While the PCs had some fights they would easily win we had plenty of real knock down drag out fights. The prep time though was enormous for that type of campaign so those days are over for me.

My girlfriend's mother passed away yesterday morning from a heart attack after a battle with cancer that lasted seven months I will be too busy to post for a few days I think.

I am sad to leave the game as well given it's promise, but given my connection to the character and group was very weak.

I felt like I'd just slow the game down and the group and GM deserved better.
Hence why I dropped the game.

So I have been looking into different tools I can use to try and make interactive maps were you can move your characters around yourselves.

There is this one
http://www.wolflair.com/realmworks/

and I made an account here
https://roll20.net/

Maybe someday we can try playing on there when there is a big battle or something.

I will continue to look into this has potencial.

I use Google.docs. The maps are not as well laid out but easy to make and you can give rights to PCs to edit the maps.

Yeah, I use google docs as well. It doesn't require people to log in or wait, which is what drives me nuts about roll20.

I agree with that. And while I can use Roll20 at home, when I post from work, for some reason they block it.

DM:
Playing in 20+ games and running 26 (soon to be 27) is time consuming. Outside of the boards I have a fairly busy work schedule and of course a life!

Often I find that if I fall behind in updates, I need to make time to simply update a Discussion Thread to inform the PCs of a particular game that I am either going to be posting later in the day or week or will be on a break form the boards for one reason or another.

To save time updating so many damn threads I am going to open this thread and link all of my DM aliases (and PC aliases) to this thread to inform people as to my status. So if I am missing for a time, just go ahead and click on the link in my Avatar and you will be able to ascertain my board status.

My sincerest apologies if this is a bit of an inconvenience where you are waiting on me for an action but posting "I will be away for the next 3 days" 47 times (or more) is just not working for me any longer. Thank you for your understanding!

No I get it I run 6 games and play in none and I can barely keep up sometimes

So, loot. Zoren has not weighed in on what he would like. As an arcane caster he could also use most things. So he Zoren needs to chime in before we completely decides who gets what. He and I can share access to the spellbook with no issue.

Strangely, one of the more valuable items the Ring of Spell Knowledge is usable only to spontaneous casters, which none us are.

Boots of levitation - Duskade

Cloak of resistance +2 - Duskade expressed interest but already has one on his sheet. Is that one this one? I think Ahmose can use this too but he seemed uninterested.

Headband of vast intelligence +4 As the pure arcane caster I am claiming this. Sorry Zoren. That does free up my +2 Headband though if someone wants to claim it. Zoren has one.

ring of protection +2 - Some already gave one. This goes to a melee type unless they all have one If so Ilithial will gladly wear it

Ring of Spell Knowledge type IV - See above. I fear this is a sell for cash item.

Brooch of Shielding (81 points left) - Ilithial has no neck slot item and will gladly wear this if no one else thinks they need it more.

Amulet of nether travel* Will explain that later. - As an artifact maybe we should consider this a party item. We need to learn what is required to operate it but I am fine with Duskade holding it for now. It require some class levels to activate it though. Note that Ilithial and maybe others have deathless armor that protects against the negative energy so its not that bade for him.

Potions: - I think non casters should claim these. Split them up.
invisibility X1 - ?
fly X1 - I'd like to see our monk with this one.
gaseous form x1 - Good for our rogue I think
shield of faith x1 - Fro a melee fighter

Scroll: Ilithial will take both of these. He will likely scribe Dominate Person since scrolls of Save or Suck spells are poor due to their sub-par saving throws.
dominate person x1
globe of invulnerability lesser x1

Cloak of Arachnida - this is a cool item. Permanent spider climb, immunity to webs, cast Web once a day, and +2 on saves versus spider poison. Surely someone wants this.

Wand of inflict serious wounds (38 charges) - who can use this?

Three scrolls of gentle repose -Keep for the party in case someone goes down and we need to get the body back for a rez.

Magic Mirror of life trapping -At 50 lbs this should fit into Ilithial's handly haversack. NOTE: There may well be prisoners inside this mirror. We should be able to eventually figure out the command words and free them if we want them freed. It can hold up to 15 creatures.

Hmm I actually missed that bit about it being only for spontaneous casters.

Make that a Ring of Wizardry type I or II then (whichever you prefer)

Yes I am being generous but take what you can. It's gonna get pretty hazardous from here.

Male AC 17/13/14 | Saves F6, R8, W9 (+2 vs enchants) | Init +9 | Perception +25 HP 56/56 Elven Wizard/9 Admixture (Evocation) School

Well that is a nice item. And Ilithial would love to have it, preferring the Type II. Second level slots are nice and it seems there is never enough slots for them.

But again, I'll wait to hear from Zoren before I claim this nice wizrard's ring in addition to the headband. As good as it is for Ilithial it might be better for the Magus. I am unsure if he runs out of spell slots to use spell combat with or not.

Male Kobold (Dragon-Scaled Blue ) Alchemist (Trap Breaker) 6 / Brew Keeper 1 Initiative +3 Hp 57/57 AC 20 Fort +8 Ref +11 Will +5 Percept +13 (+3 Traps) Darkvision Conditions

Ahmose considered the potion of fly, but figured his jump is really good.

AC 26/19/19 | Saves F15, R16, W11 (+2 fear/death) | Init +7 | Perception +21 HP 134/134; NL 40; THP 30/30 | Burn 3/9 | Buffer 1/1 | Active: fly, invisibility

I agree that the amulet should probably be party treasure. I've also got deathless armor. The potion of gaseous form is about the only thing that's useful but not redundant to me, but I agree that it's probably better as a rogue thing. I could take the headband if the skill in it is useful to me. The intelligence part isn't as useful. His buddy Speng was always the smart one of the bunch.

It is quite a generous treasure, but everybody knows that we kineticists are tough to buy for. Nobody like being our Secret Santa. :)

Any of us have anything to help against poison? This is the point where a cleric would come in handy.

Male Kobold (Dragon-Scaled Blue ) Alchemist (Trap Breaker) 6 / Brew Keeper 1 Initiative +3 Hp 57/57 AC 20 Fort +8 Ref +11 Will +5 Percept +13 (+3 Traps) Darkvision Conditions

ooops. I meant the spider cloak as possible alternative to my current cloak of resistance.

I fine with amulet as party treasure. She be happy to keep it for the party.

Ahmose wrote:

Huh? It's a one-time thing.

I'm talking about the prismatic barrier - since we don't have passwall, it's a fort save against a deadly poison.

Ohh gonna try to walk trough it? That is ballsy.

I should mention that if you cant remove the passwall layer you cant remove any of the layers after it either.

So you would be hit by the following.

Green 4th
Poison (Kills; Fortitude partial for 1d6 points of Con damage instead of death).

Blue 5th
Turned to stone (Fortitude negates).

Indigo 6th
Will save or become insane (as insanity spell).

Violet 7th
Creatures sent to another plane (Will negates).

Sounds fun....d-door to the otherside?
Ahmose can go ethereal to see how far to the otherside by phasing thru the wall.

LN Tiefling Magus (Blade Bound) 10 Max HP: 83/83 | AC: 19; Touch: 12; Flat-Footed: 17 | CMB: +9; CMD: 21 | Saves: Fort: +12; Ref: +7; Will: +9 | Initiative: +6 | Perception +10 (Darkvision 60') | Sense Motive: +4 Cold, Electricity, & Fire Res. 5 Shadow's Status |

I posted after this discussion I/C yesterday but I'll expand on the issue here.

I am fine with the Brooch only, as a Frontliner I would think that I would receive more hits that the Wizard would from enemies that employ Magic Missiles. I would agree that the dedicated Wizard should have the higher Intelligence and larger amount of spell slots so feel free to take the Headband and the Ring, unless you want to do the Headband and the Brooch and I take the ring but if I were Ilithial I would not want to! :-)

Agreed with respect to the divvying up of the rest of the Loot.

I have a Headband +2 already so Ilithial at some pint can sell his now that he has an upgrade or we can give it to a PC that could use some more skill points if they do not have any head slot already filled.

EDIT: Walking through a Prismatic Wall is NOT advisable...

Male AC 17/13/14 | Saves F6, R8, W9 (+2 vs enchants) | Init +9 | Perception +25 HP 56/56 Elven Wizard/9 Admixture (Evocation) School

Excellent. Please record the Brooch Zoren. Ilithial will take the headband and the ring of Wizardry II and offer up his current headband to the party. I'll have to consult a computer I do not have immediate access to tell you what skill is granted from that headband.

I like Ahmose's idea of him checking out both doors ethereal IF we think that the prismatic wall will not activate on an ethereal creature. He can check out the other door regardless. And I propose we rest in this room, in a rope trick, of course. Ilithial has a lot of new 2nd level slots to fill. :)

Male Teifling Welcome players! Roll20 Map

Ahmose would scout prior to resting if thats what we want to do...

Wizardry II! Looks like Resist Energy for everybody...lol.

As a note I once defeated the tarrasque using prismatic wall.

My lv 17 wizard was in a party that engaged the tarrasque in battle, the tarrasque had just swallowed the party paladin whole and I was next in line to face it's wrath I readied the action to cast prismatic wall in front of me if he charged me- which he did. He got trough all the layers until he reached the final layer and failed his will save and was teleported to a random plane. We rolled and it seems the tarrasque ended up in the abyss along with the paladin...

Dimension could work but would be risk because you cannot see what is on the other side of the wall.

I will need to check if anything prevents you from going around as ethereal.
