Seems Belafon and I switched situations - Just as I went to reply, my VC asked if I would go to the VC dinner in his place as his VL.
Have to admit, was looking forward to playing AfI under the only other (I think) GM to have all three tables of this happen at GenCon last year. Perhaps another time.

Well if we don't get started until after 2pm, which seems likely, then we will have trouble finishing this before the VC dinner. However, I am amenable to splitting part 1 into two parts and finishing up the last hour or two after the VC dinner. As long as we aren't up too late. From experience, the VC dinner doesn't go much past 9pm, but I don't want to be up much past 11 or midnight.

I sure hope so, Khelreddin. I hope more games get posted on Warhorn.
I want to join a PFS game Thursday evening, hopefully high level. And I want to join a PFS game Monday afternoon (also high level). I don't fly back to Florida until Tuesday afternoon.
(I'm taking my name off of any Thursday morning potential game; I've extended my stay in Vegas through Wednesday night and will be flying in to Seattle Thursday morning, arriving at 10:15.)

Can we use the Warhorn site set up for pre- and post-con games to organize games for the afternoon slots during the weekend? I know there are often people playing pickup games then, I wonder if we could add those slots to the Warhorn schedule and get that a bit more organized?
What would be awesome Khelreddin is if the Seattle lodge and the VOs helped organized something in the afternoons and pre-con, wouldn't it!?
Normally, by this point we have had everything that's going to be listed on Warhorn listed. Unless somebody really wants to organize (and remember, not everybody reads this section of the forums), afternoon games typically wind up being on-the-spot pickup games.

Yep, it would. Still don't get why that doesn't happen, but it sure isn't going to suddenly happen this year.

It may be so that not everyone reads this section, but there are enough of us paying attention that we could get some games organized beforehand. I've done the on-the-spot pickup game approach since they knocked out the afternoon PFS slot and it works okay, but I thought it would be worthwhile to try to get it at least a tiny bit structured - and to make it more likely that those of us zealously checking these boards will get to play together!

I don't see why we can't use the Warhorn for pick-up games during the Con. I'm guessing that Paizo isn't going to be able to organize anything like that for pick-up games.
There are several of us who have admin privileges on it, me being one of them. Let me know if you want me to add some slots and sessiosns.

This was something that was brought to the attention of the Seattle VO's after Paizo Con 2014 I think. They did try to set up a warhorn thing for 2015, and then Paizo said they would schedule those pick-up games within their game schedule for 2016 so people could sign up just like signing up for a regular game.
I don't recall if that ever happened. It may be that the VOs did not get the games submitted in time to be included. I do recall signup pages last year, so probably not.
In any case, I think, just like every year, that these pick-up games are going to be an "on the spot" sort of thing with a lot of running cold, unless you get your table set up beforehand.

I could run something on monday afternoon/evening. But it would need to be somthing Ive already run once.
If we have enough people I could see what I could do

I expect I'll be there a day early and a day after as I've never been to Seattle... the flight is the last thing to book.
Well, I'm in Wed 24th at 1300...
I have Wed Night, Thr, Sat afternoon and evening, Sun afternoon, and Monday afternoon & evening open...If you're at Edge of Eventide Fri give me a shout...

All for Immortality
I've signed up with Shackles. He's a Barbarian 13 now, but will be a Barbarian 14 for the last two parts. I didn't select a combat role as "Diplomat" wasn't a choice.
If need be, I can switch to Malraine who is level 12 and would remain so throughout all three parts.

Hey everyone!
I see a lot of pre-con games being set up, but has anything been set up yet for Monday after the con officially ends? My flight doesn't leave that night until very late, so I'd love to play something. What about that April Fools' "PFS" scenario that Jen McTeague wrote, "Paizo Unchained"?
:)
EDIT: Heh... as I read several messages right above mine asking the same thing.

Because we were asked not to. Paizo wanted to handle scheduling of unofficial games through the registration site this year as third-party offerings.

Did you guys submit 3rd party offerings for those off-schedule PFS games?

Any specific official scenarios you want to see, CMB? I could run something.

They specifically asked us not to. They wanted individual GMs to submit their offerings using the existing system.
And this conversation has happened at least once, if not twice, on these boards over the past several months. It got mentioned, and Louis and I both responded that we were requested not to organize things this year.

I was under the impression that anyone could have submitted PFS games to be run during that open afternoon slot. And it looks like a handful of people did just that. It seems like you're trying to throw shade on the Seattle area VOs, when the blame for a lack of afternoon PFS games falls on all of us.

There was absolutely nothing...nothing stopping you from lining up GMs and submitting events into slots exactly as Paizo requested. We've had this exact discussion before.
There is absolutely no way Paizo didn't want you to submit events - they just wanted you to submit them using their system.

Earl...it's not our region. It's the responsibility of the region to support conventions.

Keep in mind all, the Banquet hall will not be available for afternoon slots this year.

Thanks for letting everybody know Majuba. This turns a pet-peeve of PaizoCon of mine into a full-blown irateness.
I've called out the Seattle VOs before, and I will continue do do this. This is seriously not cool. You are responsible for conventions in your region. If Paizo cannot support sessions convention-long, you should be filling in the gaps.
If you came to Con of the North and we were like "yeah, you guys have to arrange your own stuff, we want afternoons to get to play stuff", we'd get tossed to the wolves.

I'm up for most anything. I have played almost nothing from season 8 (which is why I signed up for 3 slots of "official" season 8 PFS while I'm there) so other than Tyranny of the Winds Pts. 1-3, I could play any season 8 game (pretty sure I have at least one character in any given tier).

That makes sense. I guess I was viewing this as a Paizo community convention (that just happens to be in Seattle) supported by the Paizo community, rather than a Seattle area convention supported by the Seattle area VOs. But I can agree with what you're saying.

Being as I am not in the know anymore, so don't pay a ton of attention to the boards since I've been semi-retired from PFS in general since November, I didn't really start paying attention to the boards for Paizo Con until the last couple weeks.
This should be considered the norm for people rather than the exception. I'm guessing no GM's submitted a PFS selection in the middle slots because most people had no clue that was even an option. It should have been made more widely known. Like perhaps announced on the general PFS forums or something.

If I didn't see it, I'm guessing lots of other people did not as well, which is why you don't see hardly any of these events.
At the very least, it should have been made widely known.

What the heck is happening during the middle slots that makes the convention area not available this year?
