Covert team makeup, with odd concept advice.

Advice

Ok, so here is my plan.

I have a group of NPCS I am making as an opposing group for my pcs, and I have so e odd criteria for them.

The PC group is:
Human Inspired Swashbuckler
Human Mutation Master Brawler
Human Cleaner Slayer
Human Bolt Ace Gunslinger
Elf White Mage Arcanist who is utility heals

The whole game is set in one huge city.

Here is the plan for the NPC team.

The leader is an arcane class of some kind, an elf, but flavor of caster does not matter but he needs to be good at social skills. He is the up front guy.

However he has 4 Wyrwood NPCS that follow him and fake being his pet constructs and or familiar/homunculous.

The leader does not really do much other that be the up front obvious guy while hos Wyrwood teammates sneak around and get the work done.

Rules for the team:

Leader has to be an Elf and Arcane of some kind with social skills.

The 4 Wyrwood NPCS have to have:

At least average or better stealth abilities.

Be self sufficient without their arcane backup.

I am thinking:

Alchemist bomber
Alchemist vivisectionist or promethian.
Magus of some kind.
Unchained Rogue
Or something else out of the blue.

Any ideas?

Great job people maybe I can eventually get through this giant stack of replies...

Well, the problem with a caster as your front man is they lack the social skills. If you were a bard, you would have great social skills but you casting wouldnt be as great. If you multi class, you could take 1-2 lvls of rogue, Urogue, bard, or the like, then take rest of the lvls in you main casting class.

As for your minions..... its hard to get a self sufficient wyrwood cause they dont benifit from healing, so its either potions, UMD for scrolls, or a lvl dip into an arcane class for repair spells. If they all rogue/Urogue, they can take magic talents to get a spell or 2, have all the stealth they need and skills. If you use the altenate racial traits, they give up darkvision for Make Whole once a day, but with no Con score, their HP is low to start with. A lvl or 2 in say Barbarian/Ubarbarian would get a boost in HP with ok skills. Or mix it, Rogue/Urogue AND barb/Ubarb, HP and sneak att and good skills

This all depends on what lvls you plan on having your covert squad

Contra to Dwarftr, it's pretty easy to make a face wizard, arcanist or witch with the right traits (clever wordplay, bruising intellect, cunning liar and/or student of philosophy.) An alternate way involves the Orator feat. Not to mention a bard is in fact an arcane caster and they do social skills.

The wyrwoods might get some use out of the stealth synergy teamwork feat. As far as classes go you need someone with trapfinding to do stealth stuff, which could mean an unchained rogue, but could mean an investigator, trap-breaker alchemist, trapper ranger, seeker sorcerer or oracle, archaelogist bard, etc. Someone who can remove conditions and heal a few HP, which would be best as a cleric or oracle. Someone who can cast sneaky spells - probably a psychic caster. And someone who can cover fighting in melee.

If I were making the group I'd go with

Trap-breaker alchemist who provides fire support
Iron priest cleric who heals and buffs
Psychic with the self-perfection discipline, cunning caster etc. for sneaky magic.
Geokineticist for melee & ranged as required, and some unusual tricks. - Edit: no Con score!
Beastblade magus with a mauler familiar to put a couple of bodies in the way of attackers, or to deliver damage really quickly with the right setup.

You could make one of the Wyrwoods a Druid (easily healed in animal form), and one a Synthesist Summoner (to be the upfront tank).
