Does thrown ammunition count as a light weapon?

Rules Questions

Do things like darts or shurikens counts as light or one handed weapons. I ask specifically in reference to the insight bonus granted by the Possessed hand feat.

"Any attack you make with a one-handed weapon, light weapon, unarmed strike, or natural attack with your possessed hand gains a +1 insight bonus on the attack roll and damage roll. "

follow up would starknifes or daggers get this bonus when thrown?

Starknives and Daggers are listed as light. Darts and Shurikens are tougher as the rules don't specifically say. Common sense would rule that thrown weapons that can't be used as melee would be light.

Though the ROI seems to be that the feat is meant for melee and not thrown, so I probably wouldn't allow the feat to apply

No. Light/one-handed/two-handed only apply to wielding a weapon in melee.

Light, One-Handed, and Two-Handed Melee Weapons: This designation is a measure of how much effort it takes to wield a weapon in combat. It indicates whether a melee weapon, when wielded by a character of the weapon's size category, is considered a light weapon, a one-handed weapon, or a two-handed weapon.

Even if the item is a light weapon in melee, it is not as a ranged weapon.

Upon reading further, it wouldn't apply to any thrown weapon. If you thrown a dagger it stops becoming a light weapon and is a thrown weapon instead. Its classification is based on use. Unless the feat added thrown weapons, the feat wouldn't be applicable.

Que sera sera, what will be will be. Makes sense was just hoping for a secret throwing boost. thanks everyone.

If you can full attack throw with it, it's not a two handed weapon.

Throwing a light or one-handed weapon is a standard action, while throwing a two-handed weapon is a full-round action.
