"Mr Tazou, I was not talking about an investigation. I am sorry that you misunderstood. I will find the people who did this, and depending on what level of oversight Officer Serpico would like, I will apprehend them. Then, once they are in my tender mercies..." The inquisitor lets that just trail off in a way that causes shivers to go down the spines of those listening.
"As for payment, Officer Serpico, I am looking for none. We'll just consider this a favor. The contract is just a formality, as you might understand. We could also overlook that formality as another favor."

"Mr. Voralius, I suspect one's definition of 'investigation' may be a bit... precise, given one's legal background. My goal was to put the bureaucracy to work in such a way the tender mercies of one's attentions would seem like a blessing, and all for a good thing.
I'm certain we can make this work out, that is, if you're willing to do so?"
When Faustus makes the mention of 'favor' s and 'contracts' the tengu's tone brightens.
"Definitely no hidden fees or 'gotchas' here. Bad for business."

"What do you need done, Officer Serpico?"

"Favors? I'm happy to do it if Dicky clears my 20gp tab."
A tall varisian woman with acid splattered clothing says from where she's looking over the wreckage of her favorite dive bar. She held a sheet that says 'Usage Waiver' on it.
"I'm even cleared to use Piecemaker. And I called in a favor with several friend's of mine, all followers of the 'Lucky God'. We were going to add the "Boar 'n Oysters' to the annual Cayden's Crawl next year. Cause.. well damn.. spicy oysters and best damn Boar's ribs..." The idea of dozens of Caydenites out for two clumsy thugs in Absalon.
Nothing could go wrong could it?

I think The Boar 'n Oysters will remain closed for the time being. I can't say I am pleased with how things went over the last few posts. I know the people involved on a personal level so I understand the decisions behind what they did. So until Dicky purchases that boat he's been eying, Officer Serpico can be found offering aid to wounded Pathfinders; he is a merciful healer after all.
