Pathfinder Paper Minis are back with new and improved sets!

Amassing the right selection of minis for your game can take years, and still sometimes you end up having to use that hyena when you really wanted a hound of Tindalos. If you need a goblin warchief with his trusty gecko mount, a faceless stalker, or a dread pugwampi, what do you do?

Enter Pathfinder Paper Minis! Not every GM has the chance to paint miniatures over their lunch break, and when an enterprising band of artists from our community wanted to create paper miniatures and share them with everybody, we cheered them on! With new art for the previous sets of “Burnt Offerings”, “The Skinsaw Murders”, and “Howl of the Carrion King”, and a brand-new set for “The Hook Mountain Massacre”, the folks behind Pathfinder Paper Minis have brought you over two hundred miniatures—for less than $20! These sets are designed to have everything that the GM needs for their Adventure Path game—no substituting minis necessary!

Keep an eye out for new and revised releases from Pathfinder Paper Minis!

Heh, these are cool.

Are you (or even Callous Jack) going to do sets for the rest of Kingmaker? And/or Carrion Crown?

Crystal Frasier's finishing up Kingmaker; I'm hoping for Carrion Crown, but Liz wants us to finish off our respective APs before moving on to new territory, so my money's on CJ, if he wants that one. He's a wily fellow, so who knows what he might pick next.

Regarding the new art for old sets; if we have previously purchased the older sets, do we automatically get access to the PDF with the new art, or would we need to buy the updated PDF?

EDIT: never mind, I see we get the new art – which is totally cool – the art is great and the sets more complete (at least in the case of Howl of the Carrion King, which is the one I just checked out) which is awesome. The dust digger and giant snake are way cool for example.

But ... I don’t want to come across as a whiner, but I actually kind of prefer some of the previous artwork, for example the more individual caravan guards, and the slightly more exaggerated / cartoony style of the goat demon and the harpy in the above set. I don’t suppose there’s any way I could still get the old sets, if I was stupid enough to have lost my old downloads?

Oh, and the old Dashki with his hugely oversized forearms, that was awesome.

Don’t get me wrong, this is not a complaint, with so many more minis in the revised set I am getting way more bang for my buck, and the artwork is probably ‘better’ now, I just think its lost a little bit of its original quirkiness.

Awesomeness. I'm not even playing Pathfinder at the moment but these are so generically useful I'm buying big time. Paizo, it is not possible for you to make enough of these!

I am happy they have updated these sets...my group is just about to finish House of the Beast, and I am hoping that the next set will be ready soon...hint, hint.

I think it comes down to what we get assigned by Liz but for the record, CC is not on the top of my list. :) So it's all yours N'wah!

The other caravan guards were actually from the Caravan set, which should still be in your downloads if you bought that.

I did like the old harpy as well, but I kept an archive of the old files. It would be nice if the zip included both, for completeness sake. Overall I prefer the new set, it is rather well done.

Is there any way to see what these look like printed out in comparison to actual minis?

Hopefully some good people will post pics of their sessions when they use them. :)

As soon as I print out my full set- which should be soon- I'll take some photos and upload them on DeviantART. I'll post links once I do.

Might also do the same for the sets of CJ's I've got access to. We'll see how much I can print out.

Side note- I framed the PF 19 cover. It comes out pretty darn good. Might make decent art for barren living room walls. :D

I've got all the old files, if you lost yours. I can prolly send them to you. Or maybe I'll post up the old art on dA or something. Lemme check with Liz, but it probably won't affect sales too much if the old stuff were available for free. I mean, for most folks, paying $5 for all the minis vs. getting a few of them free isn't going to affect their purchase decision.

I'll have to leave it to CJ and Crystal whether or not they want their old stuff floating around pro bono, though, as mentioned above, if you got the old Katapeshi Caravan set, it's still available for download. You just get extras of all the caravan folks on top of everything else.

I, too, loved Crystal's Dashki- enough so that my version's basically just the same in my style. :D

Maybe the next recognizable fighter-type guy will have oversized forearms, to make up for it? :D

Alrighty! :D

I'd love to do Jade Regent above Carrion Crown, but as I'm gonna run Carrion Crown, I might end up doing art anyways. Might as well make it available for everyone. :D

We're all workin' hard to make as many as possible, I promise you.

And my sentiments exactly. Can't have enough cheap-o minis. :D

I'm glad to here this about Kingmaker. My party just finished adventure 2, and got a kick out of the minis, so I'm glad we're going to see them for the rest of the path.

No luck for Legacy of Fire though. We're already on adventur3 4, so the minis probably won't have a chance to catch up...though I'll still want the sets :)

ACK! Stabbing! My only weakness!

EDIT: Also, isn't the point of backstabbing that the victim isn't looking? :P

Yes, a frontstab is not as effective.

Well, I suppose you could flank with Crystal. I lack uncanny dodge, thanks to my poor class level selections.

Then, of course, you two'd have to duke it out, and Crystal's +5 keen vorpal pen is pretty badass.

Yes but I have Vecna's Unforgiving Kneaded Eraser and a Wand of Bigby's Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

Continued Kingmaker support in paper minis? GAAAREAT! We loved them for the first two volumes and hope to use them for VV as well!

I'm pretty excited to see Crystal's interpretation of Varnhold Vanishing's BBEG. :D

Big forearms are a must ;-)

No worries mate, turns out I DID back up my old downloads before my hard drive crashed last year - so now I have all the originals and the cool updated sets - sweet!
