With no idea of where to post, I'm choosing here.
On the Thursday before PaizoCon, Wayfinder invites our contributors (that includes authors, artists, editors, and sponsors) to get together for a Meet and Eat. Last year, we met at Sharp's Roaster across the street. I am looking into seeing if Dave's Diner has space we can reserve as an alternative.
I would like to get an idea of how many of our contributors will be around on Thursday, and would like to join us.
I'd also like to know if anyone has a strong preference as to where we should eat....Sharp's again? Maybe the diner? Maybe the Thai place across the street? 13 Coins?

I will be there for the gathering. As for restaurants I have only been to Sharps and 13 Coins of those on the list. I like Sharps and would be willing to go again. 13 Coins has mostly booths if I remember correctly. I cannot check this now but I believe Dave's Diner closes in the evenings but I may be mistaken.

I am up for just about anything food wise (I have no special dietary needs other than tasty and edible :P ), so put me down as a big fat yes please!
I may need to beg a lift though if there is any travel beyond walking distance needed as I am car-less for my stay in the US and am dependent on public transport.
Yes, I'll bring my ribbons for a pre-con swap if you want too!

Dang, I was holding out for the Crab Pot! :P -
I'd be happy to stump up a share towards the cost of a shuttle service/taxi as part of a group trip to and from the hotel - I believe your american vehicles are so roomy! ;)

My flight arrives around 12:30PM local time on Thursday, so I'll certainly make an effort to attend the gathering once I get checked into the hotel. Sharps or Dave's both sound fine to me. What time will it be held? 7PM? Sooner? I'll look for you and Paris and we can walk over together, if you like.

Meraki |

I'm in! Not sure about flight arrival time yet, but it should be sometime Thursday afternoon.
I have no opinion on restaurants as I've never been to Seattle and don't know what's there. No special dietary needs or anything. I also won't have any transportation once we arrive at the hotel, so walking distance would be good.
Are partners/spouses/SOs invited?

Anywhere we choose to eat at will be within walking distance. It's MUCH easier that way, for everyone.
I was thinking of doing a 6 PM dinner? Neil is correct that people can meet me and Paris in the lobby, and we can lead the procession over to the restaurant. And yes, your SO is invited.
We will likely do Sharp's or Dave's.
Sharp's Roasting House is a good BBQ/smoked meat place, with a great bar selection. It was, however, pricey if looking at the dinner menu. Most of us asked for the bar menu instead, which was a tad more reasonable. We did this last year, and it was good eats, and they were really nice to us.
Dave's Diner is...well, a diner. You can order burgers, sandwiches, breakfast items, or a dinner. Wide selection on the menu. Prices are reasonable. They have a lounge, so beer is available.
I need to make some calls soon. I am right now assuming a crowd of 15-20 people.

I too would enjoy this meatn'eat. *ahem* Meet and Eat.
No dietary restrictions or preference, and I'm staying close to the hotel. Should be fun. :)
@Anthony Adam, you might want to consider downloading the Uber app if you have a smartphone. It might be cheaper than public transport if you want to do some sightseeing. Your fancy British money will go farther here (£10 GBP is about $14 USD) so that's a boon.

He he, with my subscriptions, it actually works out cheaper for me to subscribe through Paizo including p&p on top than it is to purchase the products locally - gotta love exchange rates, and the subscriber discount... :P
Yeah, on my hit list is the Sky Needle, the Crab Pot and Aquarium (not sure if I can do that on the same day though - watch fish, eat fish - seems a bit wrong >.<), and it looks like my "American BBQ food" is going to get ticked off the list pretty quickly too. :)

Looks like I was too slow to secure Dave's Diner. It's likely that the Venture Captain's dinner snagged it, if not the Kobolds.
Instead, it looks like we will be returning to Sharp's Roasthouse again. Thursday, May 26th...6:30 pm. I've told them about 15 of us will be there.
More details as I get a firm confirmation!

Don't feel bad, there is one Brit very happy at the thought of trying real American BBQ foodstuffs. ;)
One question though fella... any chance of having this added to our printable schedules so I don't forget >.< - yeah, I'm getting old.

It's unofficial, so no. But if you copy your schedule (when finalized) and past it into Word or other word processor, you could add it to the beginning, along with your flights/times/hotel #'s, instructions for shuttle, etc.
I have an Excel template I've used frequently for PaizoCon for a one-page summary.

That's pretty much what I did :) - my work has joined the Microsoft Home Use Program, so I now am the proud owner of a full latest 2016 Office pro for just 9.99 - wow that sounded kind of WWE >.<

Should be room. I told them 15, but up to 20.
I have a firm reservation for us at Sharp's Roasthouse, across the street from the hotel, on Thursday, May 26, at 6:30 pm
I believe they'll be putting us in the banquet room. In past years, restaurants usually want to put us in one long table. I asked for them to put us at several smaller tables close to each other. This way, people can pivot around in their chairs and talk with people around them. I know I didn't get much chance to chat with folks at the other end of the long table before.
Again, to be clear, this is for our contributors (that includes authors, artists, editors, and sponsors) and their significant others attending Paizocon.

Yes, let's meet in the lobby. it's a big lobby, so how about over by the gift shop?
Assemble around 6 pm. We will start walking over at 6:15 pm!
Note to self: Add this to my schedule INCLUDING time! >.<

Is this an open invite?
Tim indicated in the first post that this is for Wayfinder contributors...
On the Thursday before PaizoCon, Wayfinder invites our contributors (that includes authors, artists, editors, and sponsors) to get together for a Meet and Eat.
It's an annual thing he does for the folks who wrote content for the free e-zine he distributes copies of at each PaizoCon. Later in this thread, Tim reiterated the nature of the event...
