She's who you call when not even Spidey can save the day, you are correct there.
When they did that first "Renew your Vows" story during Secret Wars event. The whole story revolved around the villain, who had aquiered the powers of half the superheroes of New York so he could fight God-Doom, needed Spider-Man's powers above all others.
Without Spider-Man's power God-Doom would Crush him, but once he had Spider-Man his victory was certain.

It has only been a year plus.
DC said it would be 3 years for it all to be explained.
As for Metal, so far it has been meh.
As for the GL Ring, I think it must have been flawed.
A measly 200% will power was able to overpower it.

But all the people doing it have his mark on them.
He also gave them the weaponry they are using.
If he had not enable them by given them all the bad toys, most of the bad stuff would not be happening.
When she was fighting him, she did not hide the fact that he was her father.
What is wrong about visiting a father who is incarcerated?
Was she supposed to hold a press conference whenever she wanted to visit him?
Lot of Girl Power showing up.

Charles,
Not sure THAT logic is true. But I will agree he's trying to push Kal down that road. Thing I read more into is getting his GRANDSON to buy into his ideal world.
As for what Supergirl is going through, I think the public at large is kind of down on people that commit mass murder, even if they have family. Charles Manson anyone?
Grey,
Yeah it's gotten weird but at the same time it feels like Titans Tomorrow is also fluxing in ways. I just wish Conner was still there.

Saw an ad for the upcoming Metal event, wherein all the Dark Batmen face off against the heroes of the DCU ("Including Detective Chimp!") and I am once again disappointed that Batman has become the linchpin for the entire DC Continuity.
Morrison helped do this in his "Batman is the last living person alive in the universe thanks to the library at the end of time" thing, and the whole "Quest For Bruce Wayne" didn't help...
But this is kind of ridiculous.

Does anyone know anything about Barbatos?
There isn't a Wiki listing for him in the DC Universe.
The only thing I can find is that he is in command of one of Hell's legions.

Thomas Seitz wrote:As for Tim Hunter, he's probably still trying to figure out what continuity he's in.A better one.
That I miss.
Same.
(Also, I have never been able to successfully get a game started that was based on the whole "Opener" storyline from the Books Of Magic, but one day, I still may...)

Just saw preview for January.
Many new titles coming out that are Metal Aftermaths.
One of them is The Terrifics.
Lineup is Mr. Terrific, Metamorpho, Plastic Man and Phantom Girl.
That will be 2 members of The Legion of Superheroes and 1 from The Legion of Supervillains.
Question 1: How many people from the 31st Century are traveling back to the 21st Century?
Did something happen to their Time Bubble (ala The Time Trapper/Dr. Manhattan)?
Question 2: How come Saturn Girl has chosen to stay in Arkham Asylum?
With her powers, she could have easily learned the language and kept people from noticing her as she was stealing food before she was arrested for vagrancy.
Is she using Arkham as a base of operations?

Charles,
Answer to you question: More than the Legion I can assure you. Giffen's JLA 3001 is in Blue Beetle.
Also Phantom Girl isn't the Legionnaire version.
As for what happened with Saturn Girl, no one is quite sure but I'd assume we'll find out post Metal.
If it is Phase from L.E.G.I.O.N., she ended up being Phantom Girl of Legion who was retconned to having a Carggite father like Triplicate Girl.
Her father stole 2 of the girls shortly after birth and sold them to pay off gambling debts. When the two of them met, they merged with each other.
The Legion one was the dominant personality.
They later split apart and each went with their teams.
They never resolved what happened to the third one.

Was anyone else as disappointed by the first issue of Black Lightning as I was?
Tobias Whale, again? Can't they come up with a different villain?
And framing the hero for killing the riff-raff in the very first issue? Been there, done that.
How unoriginal is this new book going to be?

How come everyone assumes the big-bad is Dr. Manhattan?
Just because is is so powerful, we automatically think he must be the one behind everything.
What if someone else is behind it, and the good doctor is trying to stop him, or has somehow been captured?
Things to think about.
