Sacred Impact

Rules Questions

Question is simple: Can a weapon with the impact enchantment deal sacred damage, per the warpriests ability, as if it were one size category larger.

weapon damage and sacred weapon damage are distinct from one another. Impact affects weapon damage, not sacred weapon damage.

I disagree. Sacred weapon says it sets the base damage to the new value, and improves with actual size increases (per the expanded table), so I'd think a virtual size increase should work as well..

The damage for Medium warpriests is listed on Table 1–14; see the table below for Small and Large warpriests.

The impact enchantment allows you to deal damage as if the weapon were on category longer. The amount of sacred weapon damage you deal, however, depends on the size of the warpriest. Impact doesn't change the effective size of the warpriest, so sacred weapon damage is unaffected.

In other words, a medium warpriest doesn't get more sacred weapon damage for using a large longsword, so there's no reason they would get more for using an impact longsword.

Good point, I'm converted.
