I knew I recognized her voice somewhere!

Yep. That upped the hotness factor by about three points.

Too bad she's already got a significant other. And that mute b***h has the personality of a slug, even when you get her voice fixed. How did those two ever even get along? They're total opposites.

I had no choice, I got jealous of everyone playing Fallout 4.

I had to go to Best Buy to get it too, I hate Best Buy!

Hmm, might have to start over as a woman, you know to get the most out of the game.

I absolutely LOVED Christine. Of course, it takes a while to get her to open up and sometimes it is easy to flubb the checks. She made Dead Money so much better for me.

New Vegas shall feel my wrath.

No New Vegas companions are romanceable, sadly.

I'm with you, Sharoth, I ADORE Christine. I always wish I could bring her back to Veronica.

Capn, we're not spoiling too much, are we?

Silver Crusade

*sniff* Christine...

... and that g#+*#~n holotape...

Nope, I have no idea what you're talking about:-)

Don't worry bout me, I'm not a huge avoidance of spoilers person. :-)

I think I met Boone in Novac, dude didn't say anything about joining, traveling up to RepConn to settle things there.

You need to solve his quest to get him to join (and give you a sweet crit boosting hat that is worthless to explosives). Pick the lock of the safe in the place where you rent a room when nobody is there to get the answer. I won't spoil it, but geeze, it's cold blooded.

Well I thought my Deathclaw poem was good.

With Veronica as my Co-Pilot, the wastes will pay!

I played Veronica once in a free-form fandom based roleplay. That was fun. All of the punching and dresses were mine! I wish folks would do fandom-based PBPs here, i.e., where you can play existing fictional characters. Not necessarily free-form, as they tend to fall flat, but then you've got to find a GM to run it. (Greentea I know you're running a Fallout based game--and congrats on the recruitment--but with original characters.)

Boone is easy to miss because you've got to catch him while he's on duty which is at night (if you talk to him at any other time he's just like "grrr I'm dark and broody, talk to me while I'm on duty and being dark and broody grrr", and then manage to convince him to tell you what's going on. You can always get him later if you want him---you have more than enough time to play with all of the companions and get their schtick and stories.

I personally do love watching Veronica work. She's a perky, sarky, jackhammer of death.

Man! That was something else.

Devastated RepConn in one go last night, I'm pretty sure I'll find their crashed rockets in the wasteland tho, especially the one closest to me when it launched, that one did not have a happy looking trajectory. Also I'm pretty sure they were trying to launch themselves at the sun, so either way problem solved.

On the plus side, the people of Novac are now my biggest fans, and have me a free room at the Dino hotel.

You know the legionare assassins might have better results if they didn't wear dog heads, Roman armor and run directly at you, just saying. Of course, I might just be mad because it was an effective tactic, and the dick with the sledgehammer was able to stay close enough to make explosives.. problematic. I'm just going to have to blow up even more of those pectoral wearing d!+&!eads.

But it was all worth it, because now Veronica will beat things to death and join Moira in the small pit of my heart reserved for crazy b#%~*es from Fallout I would totally get crippled for.

Rampage!!

Veronica reminds me of a girl I knew in high school. I was 16, she was 15, and we must've hung out every day for like two years. Only instead of being a lesbian, this chick just dug college guys, so I got to meet a wonderful revolving door of statutory rapists.

But, I mean, personality wise, it's like a duplicate almost exactly.

I was up late last night, then woke up early this morning to get Pea Bear up for school, so that took forever to push through my dyslexia on my phone. :-D

Okay, now you need either ED-E or Rex for the total package!

Rex is a cyberdog. Get him a dog brain from the fiends and he's faster than lightning, but I like getting him the one that gives him a stronger attack. I think that's from the junkyard lady outside of Novac.

ED-E's perks are just so awesome, but he's a pain in the butt to upgrade to full potential.

If you're using explosives, you're killing anything that is far away, and Ronnie murders anything that comes near you, right? Rex would do the same thing. ED-E is more of a ranged character. Rex is in Vegas (do quests for "The King" to get him) and ED-E is in Primm, he's the busted robot on the table in the shop with the dead guy outside, across from the casino.

They're not necessary at all, but they're fun. I like ED-E better, but I think Rex would fit your style.

(Incidentally, no companions come with you to any of the DLC; three out of four DLC have companions of their own within, and one you have to fly solo.)

If you wanna farm Legionnaires, I've found that fast-traveling to the Grub 'n' Gulp Rest Stop almost always summons a roving death squad from behind the nearby bridge.

Granted, the proprietors die pretty easy when they join in the fight, but that's their own fault, really.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Lost Omens, Starfinder Adventure Path, Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

If you wanna farm Legionnaires, just keep Boone around. Then you get to stomp Centurions into paste!

New Vegas is still my favorite Fallout game...

No Gods, No Masters.

I find the best place for quick levels is that dusty racetrack with all the ants. They're relatively slow, and you can clip them from a safe distance before they swarm, and their experience is decent.

Yeah, right before I got New Vegas I was going through my 3rd play thru of 3 and just spent a night devastating Grayditch.

I'm just going to leave the Ants alone for awhile, I don't bother them, they don't bother me, so we're good.

For now...

Found the robot, didn't have sensor modules, so back to RepConn, didn't have the skills, so I stored all the s*&@ at Novac, went to Boulder but couldn't negotiate s&~@, so bribery it would have to be, about 130 caps short, so it's off into the desert to spange for caps.

Appropriate, that I would spend my time spinning wheels on a day that it snowed.

But I got to see Veronica punch a bark scorpion to death in one hit, so not all bad.

RPG Superstar 2015 Top 8

If you're short on the skills, reviving Ed-E is a pain. He's not a bad companion though. His quest can also get a little buggy. Unofficial patches are recommended. And his full potential isn't unlocked until you do the Lonesome Road DLC, which IMO is the most boring one (although a phenomenal source of loot).

Well I play it on an 8 year old Xbox 360 so I'm pretty sure mods are out:-)

Mostly it was because I knew where he was.

Turns out I forgot to loot the Nipton city hall, so I gave Veronica some serious heat and had enough left over to bribe for the Khans withdrawal and buy an extra 5 Stimpaks, also got to see Veronica punch a legionnaire's head off.

I always am saving supplies for weapon repair kits (built to destroy trait), so I usually have the prereqs for fixing ed lying around. Aside from the sensor modules, they're all WRK items.

The stuff isn't the problem, it's the skills, I don't have.

You don't need the skill if you have the stuff.

The skills lets you bypass the stuff. You can fix him with the stuff if you don't have the skills.

Anyway, repair 50 for WRKs is something I gun for ASAP; you should consider it. Grenade machine guns don't spawn everywhere, and Red Glare is expensive as hell to pay to get fixed.

Science is just plain useful. Lots of good stuff hidden behind locked computers. Plus, with high enough skill and the Mad Bomber perk, you can make homemade explosives that are stronger than the ones you buy!

Well I'll have to go back and have another looksie then, must not have had all the right stuff, no worries.

I have been building up those skills, just not enough yet, I'm only 8th level.

Quests give exp the fastest. Just getting to the Strip is worth a level itself, practically. You should've gotten a ton for helping the Kahns and Repconn.

Yes, before all that I was 4th level.

I did start off for the strip, we'll see how long it takes to get there. :-)

Turns out it's really, really expensive to get into The Strip.

It doesn't cost you the money. You just need to have it on hand the first time you come in. They don't take it from you, they just want to make sure you can gamble.

If you have enough speech you can buy a forged passport from Mick and Ralph.

Or the King can get you in (but don't do it - his one favor is better use to stop the kings from fighting NCR).

It turns out you need a lot of money to get into The Strip then.

All good, I specialize in loot and pillage, shouldn't take too long. Still a lot of conductors and s##@ in RepConn I haven't grabbed yet.

The other benefit of a high luck crit build...I just go to the atomic wrangler and gamble my way until they kick me out for winning too much. I do this in every casino, actually. It's how I can afford combat armor Mark 2 so easily. :-D

Almost had enough caps, then I found the gun runners.

Back to scrounging, packing a lot more heat this time tho. :-)

The boomers are as far northeast as you can go if you want some serious firepower. Take the guy's warning for how to get in, you'll die otherwise. They're friendly...once you get past the howitzers.

So only one companion at a time then?

I knew it was that old b~~&& in the Dino Hotel that sold off Boone's wife.

One humanoid, one non-humanoid. Total of two.

Eddie and Rex are the two non-humanoid to choose between.

Chameleon deathclaw

The chameleon deathclaw can turn invisible and is much tougher to kill than a normal deathclaw. It is one of the most dangerous types of deathclaw.

Aw, s+~+!
got to The Strip.
