Shaman Equipment

Advice

What equipment does the typical shaman use?

Same as any other wisdom-based caster. Care to narrow it down by level, combat style, or anything else?

Let's say a Shaman that focuses on Hexes, Spells, Healing and a mauler familiar.

That isn't a focus, really, it's quite general. It does sound like your save DCs are going to matter, so you raise your wisdom via headband ASAP; maybe also cha or int if you're an arcane enlightenment junkie. You will want a metamagic rod of reach spell to save your familiar when it gets in trouble. Spell storing armor for you and your familiar, and an amulet of mighty fists for the familiar seem likely.

drum, rattle, eye-curtain, sage, sweetgrass, sacred rocks and crystals, sacred plants...

Honestly this is really just generic caster stuff.

Headband of Wisdom
Add other stats as needed CHA for channel builds INT CHA for Arcane enlightenment. Ioun stones can be used as well.

Handy Haversack - If you have low strength

Potion of gaseous form - Have a way to deal with grapple

Jingasa or Fate's Shears - Have a way to deal with crits

Persistent metamagic rod for save or die spells

Extend and Reach rods for buffs and healing

Cracked Vibrant Purple Ioun Stone - Store spells from past days using other spirits or charge with buff spells to let your familiar or friends cast for them selves.

Cloak of resistance - Keep this high

Spell Storing Armor and Shield - Using Frigid Touch from Arcane Enlightenment even if your not build for this if your int is 12 you can put this on armor. This prevent iterative attacks.

Scythe - 4x coup de grace. Better yet give to to your fighter and let him do it. Slumber of Hold spells

Cracked Dusty Rose Prism - going first is always good

Eyes of the Eagle. Your wisdom based now you will never fail a perception check.

Glove of Reconnaissance - Now you can use that perception to see through walls.

Wand of cure light
Wand Bless
Wand of Heighten Awareness

Circlet of persuasion - Always nice if you are doing any face stuff or UMD

Basic gear
10ft pole
Spiked gauntlet
Dagger
Rope
Spring loaded wrist sheaths
Spell Component Pouch
Holy Symbol Tattoo

You can also use Stricken Heart, without having to deal with Arcane Enlightenment.

This is a good call for back up. If it's a off day and you don't need another spirit (ie. between scenarios for PFS) I would say figid touch is a little better. However, if you are mid adventure and don't have the time to muck around this is a great option. Great suggestion.
