Bard summons

Sovereign Court

My brother is about to join in a game that we started some months ago. The game master has no problem with that but he have to start with a lvl 1 character and currently we are in lvls 3-5. The party is HUGE we are like 12 people, sometimes less, sometimes more.
Is new but he told me that wants to roll a half orc bard.
So, heres the thing. I dont want to make him melee cause the enemys will kill in 3 secs, could the summon´s path be usefull here? Maybe with the Ferocious summons of the half orc.
The animal speaker lets him summon natures ally, and then he can start the perfomances and buff the party from a safe place.
May this work?
Is a house game and we use the 20 points build.

With 12 people at the party he will be useful just by being there and inspiring courage.

He could fire a bow or something like that but, honestly, if he does nothing but inspiring he will be amazing good. Just do the maths....

I couldnt imagine running a game with 12 people, and how slow that would be. summons would slow it down even more by adding more creatures that have to act. if he goes summon bard, have the creatures hes going to summon pre-made / mini character sheets for each and ready to go, so hes not looking up stats for all his summons.

Tell the Bard player that every extra bit of damage the group does because of his support is HIS damage.

Yeah, the game tend to be pretty slow but all of us try to be quick and make the game faster.
If he´s going to summon we will make the creatures stats before starting the game so is faster.
The idea is make a combo with inspire courage-blessing of fervor and maybe a mass bull strenght or something like that and let the barbarian, the paladins, the inquisitor and the other melees to hit HARD.
