Prestige Class Requirements Chart

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Is there a chart someplace (excel or tab-text or online) listing all the prestige classes with the requirements to help people find where their character may go during a campaign for prestige classes?

So example filter on alignment 1st and can cast ____ Spells or not etc. So you could determine if you took 2 more ranks of Knowl Religion for example you could now qualify for XX and XX classes.

Not everyone plans the character with those in mind at the beginning.

Thanks.

I don't know of such a chart, and I'm kind of glad there isn't one handy. Prestige classes are very much something that a player should plan their character carefully for, and encouraging players to dip into them without much forethought is highly inadvisable.

However, I totally see how this would be useful if you wanted to plan out some whacky build and need to quickly compare them.

Prestige classes are generally weaker than continuing in your main class.

I think just having a list of prestige classes with a general idea of what they do would be helpful thank knowing requirements. If players know what is available and it interests them they can go and look up the requirements.

You know something like this and this.

Agreed WatersLethe, they shouldn't be willy nilly jumping into classes, but as they plan a class knowing they will be for example having many ranks in Knowledge Religion and X feat(s) it would be helpful in the pre-planning to start out the character. ;) Maybe someday!

I recently planned out an Eldritch Knight/Arcane Archer character, and what I needed more than anything was a chart comparing all the possible 1 level dips for martial weapon proficiency. We need a 1 level dip chart!

I eventually settled a mutagen warrior, which got errata'd immediately thereafter.

This (post #2) is the closest I have seen.

It is a guide for dipping into prestige classes up to three levels. It should give you a fair idea of the classes covered. It is out of date, so it will not have the more recent ones.
