Gather Power, Infusions, and Metakinesis

Rules Questions

As per the title, how does Gather Power function in regards to Infusion wild talents and metakinesis? Gather Power explicitly states it only applies to blast wild talents, does that mean it only applies to the base blast talent, and not the infusion/metakinesis that modify it?

Is there any definitive answer to this? Word of God, for example?

Appreciate your help!

Infusions and metakinesis don't cost on their own; they increase the blast's cost.

Thus spake the book itself, so thus spake I, the god of kineticists...I guess?

Wow, thanks a lot for your quick reply, Mr. Seifter, oh God of Kineticists!

So as a followup then....

Can I combine the Gather Power reduction I get WITH the Infusion Speciliazation ability? IE, I have a level 11 Kineticist. So I can gather power as a move action and lower my burn by 2 on my composite blast to zero. Then I can also add in a Chilling Infusion on it (which has a burn of 3) and also reduce that to a zero burn as well on the same blast? Sounds like if I take a move action, I can do this sort of attack every round all day?

Also had a question on Flurry Of Blasts. Is this damage always as a first level Kineticist (if I am reading this correctly). So my same 11 level PC will only do 1d6 +1 + CON bonus (or 1/2 the CON bonus if energy damage)? Can I flurry a composite blast to get up to the 2d6 level? And again if I use the move action, no burn for the blast from Gather Power and the Flurry from Infusion Specialization? Or use my move acton to move and only be able to do the Simple Blast as a flurry?

I guess I am a bit fuzzy on how Gather Power and Infusion Specialization work together. And exactly "what" burn points they can each mitigate in the Kineticist abilities. As well as Flurry of Blows in general.

Yes, infusion specialization happens automatically.

The easiest way I've seen to do it is to figure out how much burn you'll be incurring for each aspect of things and keep them separate. Then, start taking into account your various reduction abilities. First look at Infusion Specialist, and reduce the cost of your infusions using that. If you have Composite Specialist, reduce the cost of your burn from Composite blasts by 1 (same if you're using your chosen Metakinetic technique with Metakinetic Master). Then add whatever is left together and subtract whatever you gathered from what is left. If you still have any burn then, you can reduce it by 1 if you use/have a point in your Internal Buffer. Then, after taking into account all reductions, you take whatever Burn is leftover (remembering to increase your Elemental Overflow bonuses if necessary) and make your blast.

Just to clarify: The Metakinesis before Metakinetic Master can only be reduced by Gather Power and not by Infusion Specialization?

Gather Power and Buffer, yes.

Infusion Specialist, no.

Composite Specialist, no.

Metakinetic Master, yes, for the type of metakinesis you chose when you got the ability.

I hope this question is related enough to go here.

Do I have to decide before I start to Gather Power how long it's going to be for and the specific blast (infusions/metakinesis/composite or regular) that it's reducing the cost of? Or can I simply state that I Gather Power as a full-round action and wait to see what happens with everyone else's turns before I actually choose the specific blast and/or whether to Gather Power for the additional move action?

Nothing in the Gather Power ability suggests (or requires) pre-declaration.
