Since a the components of Psychic magic are purely mental (i.e. can be used when paralyzed) Does that mean a spell caster with the ability to shape change (i.e. a kitsune with fox shape) cast when in their animal form without the Natural Spell feat?

Any ruling on this yet? It's been 2.5 years

I'm looking to see if natural spell with work with fox shape myself. And the only thing I see stamping it is the requirement of wild shape...

Psychic spells do not require verbal or somatic components, so wether paralyzed or shapechanged you can still cast them like always. The trade off is how hard concentration checks for them can be, as well as losing the ability to cast them at all if frightened or under some other induced emotion.

Do you know if natural spell can be taken by shapeshifters or do you have to be a druid?

Per the feat, a character must have "Wis 13, wild shape class feature" to qualify. That means druid (including VMC druid) or another class/archetype that has wild shape (such as a feral hunter or totemic skald). Lycanthropes and other shapeshifters are out of luck (unless they also have druid class levels).

Compare Natural Spell with Aspect of the Beast, which specifically adds lycanthropes and rangers with natural weapon combat style.

I had a similar question as I was playing a psychic blood line sorcerer who contracted lycanthropy via a harrowed deck of many things (The Bear). GM ruled it as natural lycanthropy, The questions came up could I cast psychic spells while in bear form? Was a concentration check required? And ever if I could take Natural spell would it change anything?

You dont need the natural spell yes. There is no concentration check requeried you lose those things preventing arcane caster using their spells in a polymorphed form.So yeah it is a nice touch.I planned on using a psychic bloodline sorcerer in kingmaker to turn myself into a tiny bird with a ring then cast quickened fireball + empowered fireball. As an opening move while flying safeley.
