No worries GM. The only thing that we ask for is a quick 5-10 word post saying "Hey guys, too busy right now, I'll try to resume in x days". It goes a long way!

Ya glad you are back :)
I just have one thing to say. Dont feel guilty, dont feel upset about it. Give a quick apology and then move on.
I say this from experience. Often in the past I have had things that force me away or cause me to miss on a campaign and then when I came back I was especially upset about disappointing the others. However those feelings quickly became guilt and fear of further disappointment, then those new feelings made it especially difficult to continue and made the possibility of messing up again seem worse and even more unforgivable.
All of that made it so the next time I did mess up that it was such a big deal in my own head that I actually quit because I figured that I was dragging the rest of the party down. It spiraled pretty poorly :(
Instead, acknowledge that you are sorry, acknowledge that its forgiven (and therefore forgotten) and come back refreshed, no feelings of guilt or self condemnation. It is all left in the past and you have a clean slate :)

TL DR: Say Sorry, say Thanks for understanding. Then put it behind you and forget about it. So will we :)
Or, if you already knew this, and I am just preaching to the choir... Consider it as just a reminder for myself ^-^ Sorry, carry on!

.

As for my actions, I have asked about the new dwarf, spent a moment to smell the flowers, then again started talking about the dead treant.
Then I cast 2 spells, one of which I concentrate on for 3 rounds. The tools last for 7 minutes.
So if anything time sensitive happens it will interrupt this :)

Dang. I just spent an entire Mythic Power just to cast a cantrip :'(
I told you Midioto could be quite wasteful with his power XD

Per the NPC list given earlier, "Elf Female: Gladeral - Smith - Can repair and craft weapons and armor at resource cost for the group. Can also produce weapons/armor for encampment."

If she's present, she could craft some weapons. i can craft some mythic traps in preparation for the soldiers that are coming, but it'd be good if we could determine how much of the material we have is usable.

Vin are you still around? It looks like you've removed me from skype and that coupled with the silence on this thread makes me think you've kind of withdrawn from us.

I will advance to 'next round' in 3 days.

Kind of obvious but I'll leave this message anyways.

I've lost all contact with the DM through Paizo or skype so as asst. DM I'm calling the end of the this thread. Thanks to all those who patiently waited for some kind of activity and for the fantastic RP we had. Cheers folks!

Alright change of plans folks! I was able to get back in touch with Vin just today and find out that life got uber crazy for him and he just had to back off on a bunch of things to keep sane. Add to that the hacking of his skype account and poof, no contact. Because of that I'm changing the status of this thread from closed to OPEN. I'll be taking back over now that the DM has resurfaced so please sound off who is still around and willing to play.

I (as others) had given up all hope of this campaign.
I really enjoyed it, for the small amount I had been able to play.
It was an entirely unique experience to play someone who was COMPLETELY frozen yet was still able to talk to the party and be a part of it :)
It was fun trying to play out a character who was also frozen in time, unable to eat, sleep, talk or even bleed (mostly) :)
I enjoyed coming up against the barbarian Jietin and the scary mage Octavius when I first met them and now everytime I have a "deer in the headlights" moment I think of that XD
It was neat when I had a conversation with Breewyn only to discover that i was actually the 3rd voice in her head.

Ya I had some fun moments with this game :)
If it is dying out, well I thoroughly enjoyed playing with you guys, if it revives, count me in!

I've gotten no responses aside from you three and DM still hasn't stepped up. Sorry to get your hopes up but I will leave it to Vin to get this going again. Game inactive.

Game Master

Hey everyone, so I have a bit to say and the first of it is an apology.

Life got really hard and difficult for me, and I'll be honest, a lot of it was me pulling myself out of a rut and working on some personal health issues that I had not dealt with before. When I was finished with that and was ready to come back (as per Octavian reports above) my one year old puppy died of stubborn case of pneumonia so that threw me right back into the pit. Now I wont regale everything to spare time and get to the point. I am truly sorry.

Now let's talk about this campaign:

I want to restart it, I put a lot of work into the world and lore and everyone worked hard on their characters. I want to revive it, bring new life into it and get it going once more. Now to do this, first I need to see who all wants to give this another shot. From there I will accept anyone back, with any minor changes to their characters they would like to make. We will recruit any new players if needed but I'm hoping we can get the old crew back together.

Now about the pacing:

I definitely want to say the pace will be a bit slower. I will be able to post several times throughout the week. A bit more on the weekends. But the best case scenario is that I can average a post a day. Worst case is that I can get a post in every two to three days. I will make more of an effort to become a better GM and keep everyone better informed about my whereabouts and situations.

What will change:

I will be focusing solely on GMing and bringing a more grand and epic adventure into the campaign. To this affect I will be dropping Ishak to a NPC role to the background, I will not be playing extra characters for the party. NPC's will still exist, but only major characters and players will get more of the tender love they need. This will free my resources up to focus on delivering a more involved experience in the campaign and not be bogged down with the minute details of the background characters.

So, who all is interested in reviving this campaign?

Male Ilidari Transmuter Wizard (Archmage) 6(1) HP: 40/51 | AC:22 T: 14 FF: 22 | Fort: +4 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Perception: +5 Initiative: +2, Darkvision 60 ft.

Game Master

Same here! The team is almost back together. How long does everyone want to wait for a response from Iraldia and Midi? As it'll affect if/when I need to open a recruitment thread again.

Game Master

So I'll be waiting a few days for the others to get back to me. If they do we will go from their.

In the event they do not, I will be opening up recruitment for the campaign and filling in the remaining seats. With this still designed for a large party I will fill it up as so.

Now the question is what is the team lacking to help fill it out class wise? Also this will be a great time to give advice or your questions to me about the campaign at all!

Heads up everyone. Were going to go ahead and integrate Background Skills, so you will need to do some retrofitting of your skills, but I think it would be interesting to try it out and help distinguish what abilities will be used within adventuring and what skills are more destined for being used when you guys have breaks between the adventuring.

If you have the time, go ahead and try and get your character fitted for next week.

Howdy all! Pazeek Splitbeak here, alias of Sam C, and the newest member your motley crew.

For those who want the short version, Pazeek is a Natural Weapon Style ranger who throws in a bit of weapon use via nodachi, katana/wakizashi, and katana/tonfa, depending on what he's facing. He has a means of melee attack for pretty much any situation, I believe.

He's bringing along the infiltrator and sky stalker archetypes which will let him extend his versatility to other fields than just causing damage, as well as adding a trained hippogriff to the team. Eventually, between the hippogrif and his own racial feats, he'll be an able aerial scout and attacker.

Outside of fights, Pazeek can make weapons and armor, work traps (but not magic ones, yet), keep his allies--person and critter alike--fed, sheltered, and healthy, and even kludge together magic gear.

Personality-wise, his biggest trait is that he's a flirt. A shameless one. If the gender, age, and orientation are right, he'll give it a try. Mostly gets by on the sheer brazenness of his attempts. He's also very proud of his appearance and his skills, putting forth a lot of effort into maintaining the former and gaining the latter. He has a love of magic, and can barely restrain himself from messing with potentially magical baubles and such that he finds. Spellcasters will likely have him hanging over their shoulders, watching intently, on a regular basis, and anyone with a neat magic item will find themselves getting what I've seen Naruto fanfics refer to as the Puppy Eyes No Jutsu as he tries to sweet-talk them into letting him play with their cool toy.

Game Master

So I missed a post when GM Skull had sit in for me, and even he forgot, that everyone is actually level 5. So make sure you advance yourself! That also includes you Pazeek!

I'll need a favorite enemy to add to the list besides humans. And while I'm at it, 2 languages besides tengu and common, and two or three deities for Pazeek. One of the deities should be a tengu racial deity, the others should relate in some way to some aspect of Pazeek's abilities--magic, crafting, rangers, or combat.

And does this come with any increase in personal wealth?

we don't really have any money...all the towns around are human towns (so far as we know), so we wouldn't have anything to spend it on anyways.

Also, I think Tsakua and Pazeek should be the black-ops team.

So...

We po'?

Hmm. Good thing Pazeek has some Survival then.

But no, that wealth would have been spent before actual play to get Sharpfeather some crafted barding in addition to the current gear, maybe some more minor gear like rations, or even tool upgrades. I'm a firm believer that starting money unspent is money wasted.

Hey Chuthan, I don't want to be brash, but Pazeek and Toyer are the only two who've been accepted into the campaign so far. Your BG still needs a bit of work as it is too short and nondescript.

Also, Pazeek, wealth does not increase with the level at this point. So your Po'!

Eh, no big deal. Just have to make it the hard way then, like a real tengu!

Another question. Is retraining available?

At a certain point late in his build, Pazeek is going to get some feats that allow him to swap his BAB for his ranks in some skills. At that point, any ranks in those skills beyond the bare minimum become just a bit useless, so I'd like to be able to retrain those ranks into other skills that can use them.

And don't forget my request for languages, deities, and a favored enemy :D.

Game Master

Well the languages and dieties are up to you really :) Same with the favored enemy! To give you a bit of background, the current group have encounters humans/dragons/friendly kobolds/living plants/wild animals.

So if you want to a suggestion, Draconic may be a bit handy.

For retraining, it may be possible. I will think upon it, but it would definitely be a later, higher level thing I believe

HP 43/58 | AC 22/14/19 (24/14/21 vs. humans or undead) | CMD 21 | Fort +4 Ref +8 Will +5 | Per +14 (+18 vs. humans, +16 vs. undead), Low-Light | Init +3;

Retraining won't be an issue until Pazeek reaches 13th level, but at that level I'll need a definitive answer, because it affects his last four bonus feat choices, as I plotted out under the advancememt heading of his sheet. If it is available, then I'll take the Owl Style feats and retrain the unneeded skill ranks. If not, then I'll go instead with either more TWF feats or even something else entirely.

Hmm, pick my own deities? Interesting. Well, then as the first tengu to set foot on these shores, so to speak, I decree that Hei Feng will henceforth be the official tengu deity of Kalinthros! :p.

As to the other(s), I'll have to get back to you after some thought.

For the two languages, I think Sylvan would be a good choice for one.

The favored enemies are one those class features where DM input is critical. Has to be something that will actually be encountered, after all. I think I'll go with undead. Humans I already picked, and that was a no-brainer considering what the campaign is about. So undead is the next solid choice.

Game Master

I think Undead is actually quite a good choice actually, seeing how the group is currently in the an ancient fallen city, there is a good chance that you may encounter undead soon seeing how there is still a bunch of nook and crannies that are left unexplored yet.

The dieties you chose is good with me.

And I believe there will be a chance for respecing later. I can work something into work with it. It is mythic after all hmm?

One of my personal quirks is getting a build as close to right as possible the first time through, so that things like retraining are never actually needed. I only raise the question this time because of the benefit granted by the Owl feat chain. I could avoid it altogether by just stopping development of those three skills at a set point, so as to not waste ranks.

And Pazeek is feeling all special now, he's a!ready got dates lined up for sneaking and crafting. Alas, neither Tsakua nor Octavian are quite to Pazeek's preferences, so the relationships will have to remain purely professional, you understand. He has no bias against such things, mind--who is he to judge?--but that's just not what ruffles his feathers. :D.
