Zealot just worse than inquisitor

Ultimate Intrigue Playtest General Discussion

I don't really get why Zealot vigilantes exist. They don't get any unique powers, use the inquisitor spell list, and almost all of their vigilante talents are inquisitor abilities. Their flavor's pretty much the same as an inquisitor too. Unlike the Avenger, who gets feat chains and Vital Strike AoOs, the Stalker, who gets tons of powerful talents, and the Warlock, who at least gets eldritch bolts, the Zealot gets nothing cool or interesting. They feel entirely like an afterthought just put in to fill out the warrior/rogue/wizard/cleric square.

Agreed, zealot needs a rewrite.

Scarab Sages

Breath of life as a SLA and Life Link are both good abilities that an Inquisitor doesn't get.

Unfortunately, the rest of the talents are terrible, and they are still stuck with the terrible talents as spell access and horrible spell slots per day.

Two good talents isn't worth being a worse inquisitor.

If only the channels weren't so nerfed... none at all until level 4 makes it rather useless as a healer until that level... which tends to be either the first point you stop needing one or you need a far better one than this class makes... if it were halved to the penalties of the war priest or allowed to "stack" up to 3 times as a talent... starting at level 2... this class could be interesting, as it is it's definitely a pass.
