But if everyone knows martial arts then doesn't that just keep everyone on the same footing. Makes people less likely to rely on guns, which is way better for bystanders.
*nods*
I echo the others and highly recommend martial arts/self defense as well.
A very good place to start, if you don't want to go to a Dojo and learn the "sport" style of Martial Arts, is the book "Special Forces Unarmed Combat Guide, by Martin J Dougherty - ISBN 978-1-4351-2269-7 $7." This book covers a lot, Strength / Endurance training, Situational awareness, conflict avoidance, as well as various effective maneuvers. And yes, I've got this book.
I need to start doing yoga again. my back never felt better.
And find someone to practice with. You can do only so much alone.

But if you have cable you should be able to find yoga videos to follow. Some of them are pretty good. You can also find some online and see what feels like it moves at a pace you're comfortable with. Though a class or someone to practice with is always better.
Sorry, Mark. I wasn't referring to Yoga.
I generally feel like I can defend myself without MA training...I fought too many clueless people with 'training' to be impressed...
But thanks for the tips.

Why has nearly a full month flown by without someone posting here?
Slow month for some of us, I guess...

Hey, how's everyone doing?
Currently riding on a wave of inspiration to post in PbP.
Otherwise, just waiting for replies from several jobs I've applied to...
Is it an interesting game? This past Saturday, I played PFS 8-18 and 8-19 during a monthly event run by a Pittsburgh Area Gaming Society.
Several interesting games, actually. I'm GMing 5.
...
...yes, I'm a bit of a masochist, now that I think about it...
Aside from work, I'm generalizing my collection of Classic Traveller adventures in order to make them easier to convert to Starfinder.

Closing up the Garage to go home. Good night, all.
I blame it on the crickets they always seem to be in the back ground when everything goes quiet.

I have been thinking of more adjectives to describe the awesome Mistress Rysky....

Hello, wonderful and stern Mistress,
So what is the most wrong(meaning fun wrong) thing you have done in a RPG?

Um...
...well, there was the time...
Details: ...my undine alchemist had sex with her Kordian warpriest boyfriend in front of basically an entire stadium's worth of gladiators.
...
...we weren't allowed to leave the Coenoby (the gladiatorial communal living quarters) or our party would be expelled from the Champion's Games.
So, technically , we didn't do anything against the Coenoby's rules.
THAT loophole got closed after we completed that part of the Age of Worms adventure path.

It was later mentioned in the autobiography of one of the recurring NPCs. The details were mostly conjecture, but apparently very well-described.

Yeah, well, it's the sort of thing the GM will only let you get away with once. :)

It's just that I don't want to make the GM uncomfortable by doing that again.

All right I have a story...it is funny.
The set is my drow druid is attracted to the party's fighter for the purpose of mating (the player rolled insanely well stats wise) so she seduced him at a party.
Later as the party is camping she invites him into her tent...he said,
"I don't think we can do that in the woods"
Her reply,
"We druids have been doing that in the woods forever...it will be fine."
I'd have thought a drow druid would be more inclined to do it underground...
...eh, it still works.
